Will the phone work with Mobile Phone Tools and a USB cable?

and If so, will Mobile Phone Tools let you transfer files such as ring tones and images to the phone. This is my primary concern because this would easily take the place of OBEX.

On previous Verison Moto models, they limited your ability to do this. Even though you can do both these things on RAZRs on other carriers, I'm curious whether Verizon disabled it on the RAZR V3c.

Hi everyone. I currently have an LG with Verizon Wireless, which I've had for about 6 months. Previous to that I had a Motorola V265, which I also used for 6 months. There were several reasons why I switched back to LG from the 265, one being the horrible setup of the calculator. I use it a lot and was very disappointed. Anyway, I have a family memeber who works for Motorola and I anticipate that I will be getting the new VW Razr for Christmas this year. I have searched, but I cannot find any information on how the calculator is set up. With the 265, you had to scroll through a menu to get to the add, sub, mult, div, and period, versus the LG where the * button is the period and the functions are on up, down, left and right keys. I heard that you can get more battery from the V3c by during off EVDO?Has anybody done that?if so does it help?What do they think?Also I head the Q is going out in JAN.Would you guys wait for the Q? or stay with the Razr?What other issues are you having with the Rarz?

I know this will be slammed as stupid, but I dont really kow what I am supposed to be able to do with this feature.

I have a wireless b network at home, will this phone be able to be on this network, and if so how do I set it up to transfer files?

Do I need software or drivers? I should get me phone in a couple days. I used my new every two and got it for 100 bucks...

I already use LG 4600 so the menu should be fine with me...

If file transfer does work I would have liked a media card and a earphone hookup to listen to Mp3s

Has anyone been experiencing any choppiness when people are talking. I never often noticed that the last word would drop. When I used the speakerphone with someone else, they mentioned that I was very unclear due to noise, like some sort of static and interference. I wouldn't expect that to happen when I have full reception and I am taking to a landline.

I finally received my phone. I ordered it the day of the release, the order was processed last night, and I received it this afternoon. Some NYC VZW had them in stock the day after the online release, so my sister purchased hers day. I was very excited to receive the phone especially after playing around with hers. However, there is something I didn't notice until now, and I am hoping it's just a defect on this particular phone.

The KEYPAD - it seems alittle loose on the top part. For those of you who own this model, did you notice that too? Is this just a defective phone?

This phone is an upgrade from the Motorola T730. I've obviously been very accomdated to it, since I've been using it for 2+ years.

I'm curious, what is more important to you, features on a cell phone or the service received on the cell phone?

Personnally, I have a passion for cell phones, but when it comes down to it, the service is more important to me. So when I get a cell phone at a decent price, the extra stuff are just perks. How do you feel?

The only reason to have a cell phone is to call someone. Hell the rest is just window dressing. If the phone works well that is all that matters. I for one am sick of bitching about interfaces, crippled bluetooth, whether the phone rings and or vibrates at the same time, etc. Obviously to many of you, you don't care about using the phone you want to transfer files, take pictures, add ringtones, and play music. Well then here is a solution for you, get a computer to transfer files, a nice digital slr to take pictures, something for your ringtones, and an ipod for music.

got my new razr last night, now what holster/case should i get? i had purchase an unbreakable holster, but found the design is poor and i cant wear it like i want.

just wondering if anyone knew enough about either phone to give some good insight? I'm not really interested in mp3 playback but i would like to use for ringers. Any serious educated comments will help in my decision thanks

Hey everybody... new to this forum and I got a couple of concerns and questison.....


I heard that the first shipments of RazR V3c had OBEX on it .... I even seen people sell it on Ebay.... is this true??and also what is a UI?? and I love my phone and all but I tried to record my own rington as in put my phone againts the computer speaker and record a song.....They have some type of chip that can recognize voice from music and when it hears music it just mutes the mic.....


I love Verizon and Love the RazRv3C.... but why did they have to be so greety and not alow people to be free with there phones.... I mean if I pay about $400.00 I am accpecting to be able to fly with my phone to the moon lol 😁

Alright, well i tried it and I just couldn't do it....too many things about the phone that just pissed me off

1. The lag between menus was ridiculous! Very annoying and was pretty much a major deal breaker

2. Reception was okay, but not great. Got much better reception with my 8000 (which is what I switched back to)

3. the menu button is so poorly placed its not even funny. Only the GSM razr the menu buttom is at the top of the phone in b/t the top left and right buttons (where it should be on this phone). On the V3c the menu button is really hard to push and not very responsive

4. No vibe and ring option...cmon moto, i couldn't believe they didnt have this as an option.

5. kinda difficult to text with, not a major iss...

in the first few days of the razr release Moto tech support was offering vzw users the moto ui instead of the vzw ui. Did anyone get a copy of this? Or where would I go looking for a copy of the UI that moto has for the razr, the alltel ui maybe? or an outside razr?

and assuming we can find a copy of the ui, what is the process, I don't have any tech stuff @ my location, what do I need to do it @ home.

Why is it so slow when going through the menu, phonebook or messaging options? Is there going to be (maybe) an update to correct this?

P.S....the outside lcd screen brightness is terrible!. 😕

I seem to be like numerous others who are bringing the razr back and this is a HUGE dissappointment for me because I have been waiting for this phone for sooo long. There were too many features with both of my razrs that I could not see as upgrading to this. I loved that the OBEX was wide open for it (at least mine was) and the style, but I HAVE to have vib and ring for one and the verizon IU is not for me. Dont get me wrong I am a hugeeeeeee Verizon fan it is just that this is the first time I have had the LG (ie verizon IU) software and too much memory is taken up on stuff I dont use such as get it now and vcast. I hope this phone works out of everyone and I probably will end up with it in a month or two when the new updates come out b...

ok so many people are bashing the verizon ui. why? what is so sucky about it. i think it organizes the phones features nicely. its super easy to shortcut to stuff just using the numbers in the menu. so nobody get all mad at me, im just wondering. the older brand specific menus seem kinda cheesy. this new ui feels more grown up 😁
