"MESSAGE" "CONTACTS" L/R Buttons

3 Questions:

1. Is there any way to change up the L/R Buttons "Message" and "Contacts" - On my previous phones I've always set them to "Recent" and "Voice" and hate how difficult it is to get to those options now.

2. Is there anyway to have no wallpaper?

3. Is there anyway to change the overall "red" theme?

Thanks!

Upgrade phone

So I upgraded my phone with New Every Two back in June. I got a vx8000 and like it a lot.

I was waiting for a RAZR for the longest time to come to CDMA networks, and finally had to break down and just get the vx8000.

Anyway, now that the RAZR is CDMA-ready, I really would like to get it. Does Verizon allow customers to re-up their contract for another two years to get the phone for $199.99 price tag? The online store is only giving me the no contract price when I login and click upgrade phone.

I'd really hate to see Verizon actually deny customers the right to re-up for another two years. SBC allows their DSL customers to do so, as do many other businesses I've been with...I don't see why Verizon wouldn't, but I figured I'd make...

charging ports v3 to v3c

Sorry if this is known fact, but can someone tell me if the charging ports on the v3c the same as for the v3? I ask wondering if travel and dual desktop chargers designed for the v3 also will work for the v3c. Thanks.

Employer Discount and new every two

My employer offers a discounted web site for us to order verizon wireless cell phones on-line. On this special extranet site accessible to employees of my company only, the razr costs $159.99 with a 2 year agreement. I am also eligible for the new every two $100 credit. I called verizon costumer service to see if I could use my $100 discount with my employee discount to purchase the razr for $59.99 and the rep said no, that I could only use one or the other. Does anyone know if this is accurate? I talked to a verizon rep this past summer and they told me that if I waited until November, when I was officially eligible for the new every two, I could purchase a cell phone through my employee discount program and use the $100 credit. Now a...

RAZR V3c Opinions from V710 User

I picked up the RAZR on 12/8, after living with my V710 since 7/31/04. I typically like to get have the latest tech and also use a Samsung i730 and BB 7250 (work).

Pros of V3c over V710:

1) Size/weight
2) Battery life using Bluetooth (seems quite a bit longer than with my V710)
3) Camera quality!
4) Charger connection (now std USB connector like my Blackberry, so can use same charger)
5) Sound quality and reception are good
6) I like the contact search function that lets you enter more than one letter
7) No obtrusive antenna
😎 EVDO internet access is very fast
9) Quality display and I like the icons showing phone status and other info such as missed calls, messages, etc

Cons of V3c compared to V710

1) Cannot...

Why take this so personally?

People,

It's time for people to take away their personal feelings here. This post belongs equally to those who like this phone and those who don't. People who don't like the V3c don't have to go away--their opinions are valid--and useful, and are needed by people considering a purchase. This isn't a feelgood about your purchase/anti-buyers regrets forum. Say what you have to say and respect the opinions of others.

No Razr Complaints

After reading most of the threads in this section, I feel like the exception and not the rule. My son and I got our Razr's on Saturday. We are perfectly content. I don't do pictures/video on my phone, I don't want to listen to music on my phone and the UI seems to work fine for us. It pairs fine with my Lexus and my Plantronics Discovery 640 earpiece.

Sure, I wish that it was tri-mode, but, I knew going in that it would not be.

I am not saying that people's "complaints" are not valid or that their desires for the phone are not important, but for me, I am old school (using cell phones for over 21 years now) and just want a phone to make and receive calls. I am so "old school" that I just bought my mom a refurbished V60. She too just wa...

i dont get it

i saw this phone at a verizon wireless store and im unimpressed frankly. at present i have an lgvx8000 which is a big phone but thats besides the point. the razr's external display is dark, small and dismal. and so is its main display. where as the the phone i have, both screens are bright and crisp. when setting the volume on the razr for the highest setting, the ringtones dont come through very loud at all. apparently this phone doesnt have stereo speakers like my phone does. the camera seemed to be very crisp and clear. another con is you cant read your text messages from the external display as you can with lg8000. further the rep in the store said the batch they have to sell has the obex factor disabled. and that when the updates come ...

Bluetooth transfer

Just purchased the V3c from Verizon. For the first time with a Verizon phone, I can connect to my laptop via bluetooth (no additional software) and transfer mp3 files and pictures. If you put the mps file into the audio file on the phone, it can be used as ringtones. Unfortunately their is no mp3 player.

Does anybody know if this feature will be disabled when they get the software update for the mp3 player and ring/vib feature?
