Palm Treo 700w / 700wx
Hmmm...Question for Hack Fans...
Since the Treo 700W and 700P are identical as far as hardware is concerned, shouldn't it then be possible to load the 700P OS on a 700W turning it into a 700P and vice versa?

Just getting ticked off at the problems I've had with my 1st, 2nd & 3rd 700W and VZW wont swap it for a 700P.

not sure with the VZW versions, but with the sprint one, there is a memory advantage for the 700wx. that is the only difference that i am aware of, so i assume that you could hack the rom to install a new os.

Can't be done... not a bad idea, but this isn't just a regular computer, the phones are no where close to being identical (although they look like it). I have seen people write software to look like palm os tho and even microsoft vista. It's more so a "skin" than anything, but looks cool.
