Palm Treo 700w / 700wx

Have not been able to find how to configure this yet, but I noticed in the wireless manager one time while looking over the phone, that the "phone" setting was set to "Broadband access".

Don't know how it got that way, or how to take advantage of it.

Any information anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Does the 700wx work with VZN Navigator? If not can somebody suggest a program I can download that will accomplish the same tasks?

i was just curious if anyone knew if the Motorola MOTOROKR S9 bluetooth headset was compatible with both the 700w & 700wx??? i would appreciate any incite.

I am trying to decide between these two from sprint. I need a work phone with areally good speakerphone, access to excel and word, voice dialing, sync capable with PC calendar, probably not outlook, e-mail a plus, but not 100% necessary, any thoughts??

Since the Treo 700W and 700P are identical as far as hardware is concerned, shouldn't it then be possible to load the 700P OS on a 700W turning it into a 700P and vice versa?

Just getting ticked off at the problems I've had with my 1st, 2nd & 3rd 700W and VZW wont swap it for a 700P.

Can someone help me out with two problems I am having with Wireless Sync. I am using a POP3 account since my company does not support Windows Mobile devices.

1) The only way for me to receive emails on my handheld is when I am not logged into my Outlook email account on my desktop. If I am logged in I will not receive emails on my handheld.

2) When I do receive emails on my handheld there is a delay of @ 10 to 15 minutes from the time the message is sent. Is this normal?

This may be a real dumb question, but I want to be sure. If I get the wifi card can I use the internet free without buying a data plan? Thanks

Hey i have the 700WX treo i bought the unlimited pda package which gives me unlimited data transfer for the internet but the problem is when i try to connect it is saying that the modem is not found and it automatically connects on dial up 1x service is there anything i need to know about setting up the broadband connection if anyone has info on this please let me know thanks 🙂

I still have the 700w with the verizon warranty and am need of a replacement. I was wondering if they are replacing the 700w with the 700wx yet. Anybody know? Thanks.

I am installing it now and I hope this cures some of the problems I have been having.

I just discovered orb and its awesome!!! I was wondering if any of you guys use it and what you think about it.

I am looking to get one of these phones for my husband as a gift. I know he needs one that uses Windows and is with Sprint. He currently has an old Samsung that might be considered an antique because it is probably over 3 years old. He is a pilot and travels internationally to Asia and Europe. It would be nice for him to have music and camera functions. Any insght to which is more user friendly and reliable would be appreciated.

Just curious if anyone has a scoop (pic?) of the upcoming 800W(p?).

Love the 700Wx I have, but looking forward to *hopefully* some bug fixes in the 800 as well as WM6.

Ok, I've looked over what I could find here and elsewhere regarding these two devices, and I'm not finding a lot of helpful discussion versus pre-launch speculation.

I need to make a decision, and I want forum input. Yes, I am part of the 710 settlement and need to pick a phone now meaning I'm going to have to get the treo, but the question will be should I keep it. If I ultimately want the Q, I'll have time my treo purchase just right so I can return it with in the 15 day window.

So far I only see two advantages in the Q - the first is size. The second is the screen resolution, but then again I think the screen is ultimately smaller than the ...

I just noticed today VZW has the WX now instead of the W - Whats the real differences?

I noticed on phonescoop that someone said the WX allows for tethering on the WX (and I know from owning the 700W that it wont do this natively...

Anything else significantly different?

I can only hear only one ear, and I've tried many headsets. Is there any way to hear outta both ears??

I have the Treo 700WX and I am looking for advice about the best bluetooth headset. I have tried the Moto H500 and the one from palm, and I get complaints about the sound quality from others. Has anyone found a headset the really like and works well? Thanks

I'm still trying to figure out which one to get, i dont need a whole lot of memory so the w would be fine for me, but i dont want to waste money if it has problems!!
