Samsung MM-A900 / SPH-A900 / Ace

I'm plugging in headphones using radio shack adapter 274-373 and when i plug the jack in the phone restarts. It doesn't fully shutdown/startup and the blue "Sprint" splashscreen remains on the screen(s). The phone basically freezes. This is with bluetooth Enabled.

When i disable bluetooth i can get the player to play the songs with the headphone jack inserted and i can hear the music through the headphones, however the phone restarts. WTF? 😕

OK ... so after a few hours of fidgeting with my phone I figured out how to add pictures to your phone and actually see them instead of a pretty red X. There are two secrets. The first secret is you need to RESIZE the image to fit one of the camera's preset image sizes: 1280 x 960, 800 x 600, 640 x 480, or 240 x 320. And the second secret is you need to name your new picture correctly ... example: if your last picture is "SSPX0031" then your new picture needs to be named "SSPX0032" and so on. That's it ... it's that easy, I am glad I found this and I hope it helps some of you. If you have any questions contact me.

Hello, I'm using a Moto H500 Headset with my a900. I have noticed that at times the phone will just drop the headset and I won't be able to use it unless I power down the phone and power it up.

Has anyone else was had this problem and know if there was a fix? I'm wondering if this is a firmware issue with the a900 itself as my headset worked perfectly with my Moto v710 (Verizon) for more than a year. Does anyone know if it's true that only the Samsung headset works well with this phone? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

I have already warranted a samsung A900 for running to slow and it seems that the new one is doing the same thing. Is there anything that I can do to help speed the damn thing up?

😁 **HOW TO DOWNLOAD MP3s TO YOUR PHONE** 😁
1. Connect your phone your phone to your PC via USB Cable.

2. Cancel out the CDMA Technologies Dialog box. This is for your phone to act as a modem.

3. On your phone... Press the MENU button. GO TO TOOLS, Select MASS STORAGE. Select CONNECT TO PC.

4. Windows XP will display a dialog box on what to do. Open file browser.

5. You will see these folders.
DCIM, BLUETOOTH, MEDIA, filestore, Music

There are 2 places where you can put your MP3s.
In the Music Folder - This is where your Sprint Store Music files are stored. You can put your Mp3s in here also and use the same player to play both .koz(Sprint Music Store Songs) and MP3s.

MEDIA Folder - You can only play MP3s from this...

Hi Gang,

I'm hoping some of you can give me some input and help me. :-) Okay, my wife and I each have had our A900 now for about six weeks and we've gone through THREE different Bluetooth headsets. We're on my FOURTH now. They are all different brands ... Jabra, Plantronics, Motorola, and Nokia ... and they all seem to do the same thing. We get REALLY bad static ... popping and crackling ... even when my phone is as close as my front or back pocket.

Are any of you experiencing the same thing? I just needed to know if this was a known issue and if there was a fix for it ... or if I need to go back to the store to exchange the phones. Maybe some of you might be able to recommend me a good Bluetooth headset, too. I'd really apprec...

I spent a good deal of time searching the forums and didn't find any posts addressing my question, so I hope this hasn't already been asked.. 🤭

That said, my question is about video/animated screensavers.. I noticed under Settings > Display > Screensaver > Main LCD > My Content, one of the options is videos.. does anyone know how to set a video as a screensaver? And if so, which folder must it be in in order to be selected?

Also, I noticed that one of the default screensavers is animated.. it seems as though it's a series of jpeg. files.. I assumed it was a .gif, so I made one, and uploaded it from my PC to my phone to use it as a screensaver as well, and it could not be located..

Is there any new software updates available???? I still have not performed the last update because of the screen issue. Does anyone know if this has been fixed???

I don't know why, but my apps that run on Javascript don't work anymore. The Javascript loading screen pops up, and the bar moves, but the screen stays up and the programs never open. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I know there is no slot for a memory card but I was looking on e-bay and a guy was selling a memory card saying that it works with the a900. so my question is, is there any way to increases the memory on this phone.
