Samsung MM-A900 / SPH-A900 / Ace

Whats in the future for this phone? I recently returned it for the A-920 because of its limitations (storage). Are there plans to make this phone a contender and not just a pretty face? 😕

Can you use a A900 to stream live radio from the radio stations website?
Take www.kfog.com out of San Fransisco. When you bring up their website on the phone and click on the "listen live" button a window pops up and says you need a handler to use this type of content and when you click ok it takes you to the vision screen saver store. So is there somewhere I can get a addon that will allow audio streaming? Thanks!

is there a way to transfer ring tones from your computer to the phone instead of uploading them through a website nad than havign to pay the internet charges

since this phone uses the same cdma 1900 technology as verizon wireless is it compatable with there sevice? does anybody know? thanks 🙂

Hey everyone i have a question i download the driver from samsung and i open up the zip folder and installed it. but i dont see no icon on my screen or anything like i never hooked it up. when i hook my phone to the pc nothing happens. Does anyone know which one iam suppose to open or do? Another what does this software do? well any help would be nice. THANKs

I had been planning on getting the Sony Ericsson 662 Bluetooth headset for my A900, but I've learned that it has been discontinued by Sony. Any suggestions on good headsets- preferably with caller ID but I'm open to anything. I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks

when i open the phone and rotate the camera away from the phone with the screen and numpad facing me and the camera facing the other way, it takes pictures upside down but when i rotate it towards me it takes them rightside up. should i do a software update or is there a setting for this or what. please help me its driving me nuts.

I'm considering buying either this phone, or the a920. We have this phone in my store and I've been playing with it to see if I like it. I have a lot of free mp3 ringtones on my current phone that I got from walmart.com by entering in the url to a 30 second preview. Walmart.com recently changed the format of these previews so they can no longer be downloaded as free ringtones...and I would really like to save these ringtones. I'm certain they wont be offered in the sprint vision store. I tried sending two of them via bluetooth from my v600, and I also tried grabbing them with the a900 "get file" feature in the bluetooth. One one of the ringtones, it said the file was received instantaneously without showing the progress of the transfer...

Someone who has this phone tell me about it i am getting mine in th email mad i was curious about its operation and reliability

on my phone the zoom of the camera doesn't work and i tried pushin up on the navigation key but yet it still does not zoom, however it works for the video recorder, the zoom does not show up in the camera but does in the video? how can i fix this?

For some reason, I am starting to get poor reception. My first A900 was working fine but I sent it it back because I thought that something was wrong with it. There wasn't anything wrong but it was still replaced. I love my phone but now it seems as the reception is not as good as my first phone. Can someone help me??? 😢 (Also, I did do a software update about two days ago but don't let this bias your comment..just for your information)

This is my very first post on this site. 🙂 I'm hoping that some of you experts can help me.

I've pretty much always had Sanyo phones ... from the first color screen phone 5000 to the 5150, then the 5300, and eventually to the 8100, 8200, and 8300. On all those phones, any pictures assigned to a Caller ID comes up full screen.

I just purchased my first Samsung ... the A900. I absolutely love it. I finally downloaded all my pictures for the Screen Saver and Caller ID. Any picture assigned as the Screen Saver shows up fine and full screen. However, any pictures assigned to the Caller ID (even if it's the same picture that's assigned to the Screen Saver) shows up only half the picture when that specific person calls.

I have a theory about battery life, I have had a lot of phones and I have worked for Sprint and based on my experience, here is the issue.

Most people who complain about battery life have, at one point, had an old LG or perhaps a motorola that had SUPER battery life because it did NOTHING. Those old phones would last days. Therefore a phone like the A900, which is brilliant in nearly every way, gets a ton of grief. When it comes right down to it, a phone this thin, with these kinds of specs, and blazing fast internet, what more do you expect?

If they put a stronger battery in, it will probably overheat the phone, did any of you knuckleheads ever think of that?

Does anyone know if the latest software update was correct or not. I want to know before doing the update...no need in updating my phone if my screen is going to be blank...

I have been hearing thur the grapevine that Sprint is talking about discontinuing the A900; is this true? They would be total crazy because this phone is possibly the best phone on the market. Plz let me know 😲

Please save comments regarding your few minutes spent playing with the phone to the forum section. The review section is for people who have purchased and use the phone on a daily basis. People crack me up when they play with a phone for a few minutes and try to make a review out of it. I have had the phone since its release on 11/23/05 and have not had one issue with battery life or anything else for that matter. Save you comments for your few minutes of use to this forum you might get really good responses from others.
