Samsung MM-A900 / SPH-A900 / Ace

Does anybody have recommendations to routinely sync the phonebook with your pc.
I know that you can push your outlook to the phone, but since I am on the go most of the time I put peoples numbers into the phone and would like to back them up.

can anyone tell me how to assign a pic...i go to my album pick the pic then assign it to a contact...but for some reason when that contact call i get my screen saver pic show up..

So I updated my phone software today, and now the phone has frozen. Just a white screen. The phone did complete the update and was rebooting and now is stuck. Any suggestions, have already tried powering off and on, and taking the battery out, still no luck. Please dont tell me to take it to Sprint, they only make the A900 in a plastic form

I have the a900 with the Plantronics 610 headset, and it was working just fine. Then I had to get my phone swapped for a new one under warranty due to a problem with my microphone. Now that I have the new a900... it can't find the same Plantronics headset that worked instantly with the old phone!

I do it just as both manuals explain. I bring up the a900 to the bluetooth screen and choose "Add New," then I turn on the headset, it flashes a few times, and I hit "Search" on the phone. But it comes back with "Cannot locate device." I've tried a thousand times, I've power cycled the phone, removed the battery and replaced it, no idea what could be wrong.

Any ideas?

I downloaded some screen savers from 3gforfree and when I change the internal screen to one of these, after a period of time, the external display stays on and won't go off, which causes the battery to drain fast. Also, the symbols at the top of the internal screen disappear. If I power down and back up, it fixes it for a while. Once I change it back to one of the Preset Images, the problem goes away. I already took one phone back because of the same problem. Anyone else ever experience this?

I recently transferred songs to my phone but didn't like the quality and deleted the songs; however, the phone is still saying that I have used 15.9 MBs. The thing is that I have NO file on my phone and before I transferred files, I had 47MB to use. I'm not sure why the phone says I still have used 15.9 MB and could not find in the phone where I could have used 15.9MB since I can't find any files. I was hoping someone could help me figure out why this is happening. Maybe a software problem? I have most updated software. Any ideas?

does the Samsung A900 have expandable memory. as in can u add more memory with a memory card and if it does what kind of memory does it take

I was sent a picture message from a user on T-Mobile. This message is stuck in my inbox folder. I have went online and deleted the messages from my inbox. The inbox on the phone was not updated. NOW for the real issue. Anytime I go to my inbox on the phone to view another picture, after about 2 seconds the phone will freeze and then reboot. I have tried to reset the phone but that did nothing for my inbox messages. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Since both Verizon and Sprint are both CDMA, is there any way to get this awesome Samsung phone to work on the Verizon Network?
If I try to activate this phones esn number on the Verizonwireless.com website, will it take?

I've owned for a week and already sold the Verizon Razr. Nice phone, but horrible software bugs and build quality.

Now I'm hoping that Verizon will pick up the Samsung A900 for its network or that someone on this site has a hack to get the Sprint version of the phone working.

i currently have a treo 650 with sprint but am very interested in getting the a900. im on a sprint employee plan so i get just about everything for free. i love having a calendar on my treo and all the other PDA functions such as excel(keeping store sales numbers) and word(taking notes in class) editing. i was thinking about getting the a900 and a tungsten PDA so i could still keep up with the PDA and have the phone for EVDO. what does anyone think?????

So I am a complete nerd and have a few different Motorola bluetooth headsets to test with my new A900.

HF820: his is the car speakerphone that doesnt have to be professionally installed. It works very, very well. No echo or distortion for the person I am calling or me. When driving down the highway in the noisiest car made(Ford Explorer, or any Ford for that) it is very clear. The battery life is quite good(havent found a drive long enought to drain it). It also can be clipped to your visor or anything else. If you are looking for handsfree in your car but dont want to spend a fortune this is for you.

Hello all – I thought I would comment since I have browsing these forums lately. I just got my Samsung A900 and I am really enjoying it now. At first, I was pretty irritated at it and Sprint, but OK now. That is once you figure out how to get the BT part working ok and the ringers without $2.50 a pop for 90 days.
Ok, on to why I am writing – I got the A900 and the Planetronics 320 headset – so much static. I tired it in the home and in the car, same thing. Took it back and I got a Jabra BT250v – static in the home but when in the car, it is crystal clear. A lot better than my Jabra wired headset. I tried to connect my phone with my dads phone for the sake of transferring contacts....when pairing it asked for the PIN number...with the headsets this number is given to you....How can you set the PIN for your phone??? Or any ideas on how to get this to work???

Has anyone tried it? It got really good reviews. I also know it's 1.2 compatible. Let me know what you think. I would like to see if it works well with our A900s.

occasionaly, caller does not match picture assigned to number, although name and numbers are correctly matched.

New software is available (ZA06) and there is also a new PRL update 20218.

Sometimes my pictures appear upside down when I have the lens pointing out from the camera (same side as flash). I asked sprint store and of course they had no clue.

When I swivel it back so the lens is facing me (the keyboard) it's right side up but you can't take pictures like that!

Anybody else having this problem? I am thinking it might be related to where the lens is located upon powering the phone.
