Motorola Q

somebody tell me what you think of this. Apparently, it is an alternative for skype that works specifically for the q. And no, I don't work for this company. I just have not heard any reviews on this yet. And yes, it is free to download.

Anyone got info about where I can get an extended life battery for my Q?

I understand that the Q doesn't have enough power going to the mini-sd slot to power a wifi card, however has anyone ever tried it when the Q is plugged in? EVDO is pretty fast for a cell connection, however it's nowhere near as fast as a wifi connection, and I'd use a wifi card in the slot occasionally even if it meant I had to plug teh Q in. Anyone? If you've tried a mini wifi card, does the Q even recognize it?

ok i have the silver Q with the latest software update, which i hate, it reboots more now than ever but i need some help with this phone
1= how do i download (exactly) mp3 song to the phone/memory card??
2= i have several mpeg short movies, they wont play, only certain types, how do i convert them or what can i do????????????
3=can i put ringtons on the memory card and still use them in the sounds folder?????

I am about to get the moto q from sprint... if i do is it possible when windows 6 comes out can i upgrade the software?

I have the Motorola Q Black. My battery drained completely and it won't come back on. I am charging it overnight to see what happens. Has anyone had this experience? HELP! 😢

which phone is supposed to be better? I suppose i am asking which one is supposed to run smoother? Have better battery life? does one have a smoother os?

I know to get the email and web I need to get the 44.99 data plan. But I have been getting conflicting reports about the $$ of aim on the verizon network. Some people claim that for each text you get charged. Others say it is all part of the plan. Can anyone clarify exactly what/how i will be charged for aim? Does it depend on the program you use for the aim? Any help appreciated.

OK, here is the thing, I'm subscribed to a web site so I can send ring tones and screen savers to my Q, now ....
It sends a link in a txt msg, when I click on it takes you to the web site to download the file either a screen saver or a ring tone, now comes the thing 😕
when clicking on the file's link that I want to download, the left soft key says "save as" and when I click on it asks "Download file?" now the right soft key "Menu" will give the option either to "save as" or "no" to deny, but the SAVE AS OPTION DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK WITH ME HERE!!!!!

I know it is not a big deal and there is many ways to go around it as come later and choose to rename the file to the name you want, but the interesting part is after I downloaded the soft...

How do I get ringtones onto my phone using the micro sd card? I haven't any idea of where to start. I was just going to buy a new phone rather than go through the trouble but really don't like anything available right now.

My ringtones are still loud as anything, but ever since i started using my bluetooth headphones, the volume on my Windows Media Player (when the headphones are turned OFF) is terrible.

When i 1st got the device...the volume on the Player was super loud....now its barely audible. The volume is up to 100% and i even tried maxing the volume on my bluetooth headphone before i turn them off...but still no luck.

The speaker phone is on the soft side as well....almost as though its on a headphone setting.

Anyone experience something similar, and more importantly...can anyone fix it!!!! Thanks.

Ok - so I would like to know how I can change my homescreen around to do the following things: First, I have it set on 'VZW full layout.' I have set up my IMAP email as well, but it doesnt register as my 'email' on my home screen. So on my home screen I have 'email (o), txt message (1😎' as well as 'IMAP (25).' I would like to know how to make the IMAP my email on my home screen. Also, how can I get either my "tasks' or a new app i downloaded 'smartphonenotes' to appear on my homescreen as well. Lastly, there is a section on my homescreen for wireless sync, which I would like to remove.

Ive been looking on some sites that offer free homescreen downloads. I can download fine but once i have it downloaded i cant figure out how to get it on my Q. What would i need to do or what folders would i need to drag into to sync this new homescreen onto my phone??

I downloaded some MPEG video clips to my miniSD card, and "updated" my library in the Windows Media Player, but the file is nowhere to be found in the library and WMP will not let me browse for the file I want to play.

Essentially, the video on the card is useless beause I cannot figure out how to play it.

Any suggestions?

I am posting this because I was unable to locate any info when I was doing research for GPS units for the Q. Purchased the Garmin mobile 10 to replace a Hyundai Pontus that was stolen from my car, it was to be used with a Sprint Motorola Q running Windows Mobile 5.0. The bios on the Q is Q2-BP_C_06.26.00R, the phones have a 2 gig mini sd card installed. It was a slow start getting things running, about 3 days, but once off the ground I was very happy with the Mobile 10. The software that came with the unit was not able to connect the phone to the Mobile 10 (a blue tooth problem). This took a phone call to Garmin to solve, but after downloading the latest software from the Garmin web site that problem was solved ( update 40060W.exe). The s...

Don't get upset, Im a nerd too. Does anyone know a way or software program that can turn the Motorola Q into a GPS Navigation device. Since GetItNow is not available on the MoQ, VZNavigator is obviously not available. Since its a Windows 5 based device though, there may be a way to configure it to work with a program such as Streets and Trips from Microsoft by using Bluetooth or the USB port. Any Ideas?

i had someone return their q to me the other day and i have to resale it except that i cant figure out how to reset to al the factory settings...get rid of the number, voicemails, etc. help??
