LG VX-8300

I have read and been told (By Verizon Tech supp) many times, that VW does not support the transfer of music from PC to Phone via a card reader. They say you must buy the music essentials kit and use their USB cable. This is not true!

Pg 23 of the "Quick Reference Guide" says exactly how to do it. It is titled:

V CAST MUSIC

Formatting your memory card

Step 1: Turn on phone.
Step 2: Insert microSD card into microSD memory card slot.
Step 3: Press and hold Play/Pause key on the front of the phone.
Step 4: Remove memory card from the phone and insert into the USB memory card adaptor and connect to PC via USB memory card reader (if needed).
Step 5: On PC, go to file directory, locate "Removable Disk." Open the folder named My_Musi...

Does anyone know how to delete the stock ringtones and pictures (wallpaper) that come with the phone?

I really appreciate this forum and have already benefited from everyone's comments, particularly The Rever. I am having trouble, however, with sending a voice memo to my phone. I set up an account with vzwpix and sent it every way I can think of but I keep getting rejected. Verizon said this can no longer be done (I guess they mean with v3). Can anyone give me a step by step for this procedure or tell me for sure it can't be done? Thanks!

My phone only saves 50 received and 50 sent.. is there a way I can make it save more? I was told it had a lot of memory, but my friend's Razr saves many hundreds of messages... a hell of a lot more than mine. I like saving various ones I receive, but when it holds so few, I find I have to delete even my favorites.

I'm a manager at a Verizon Wireless Store. I had a customer get very upset with me about an issue he had. To make a long story short, He asked for my name because he was going to make a complaint. I gave it to him and he left.

About two hours later, a pizza man come into our store with about 8 pizza and 4 packs of pop and a bill of $183 with my name on it. I told him I never ordered the pizza and he showed me the number that call in to place the order. I pulled it up and it was that customer that had just left. I pulled up his call records and he dial 411 and it shows he was transfer to that pizza place. The pizza man understood and sold the pizza for 5 dollars, so my entire team ate good that evening.

Now thats a good prank I must say...

I just bought a music essentials kit from ebay and I'm trying to find the "headphone jack" and I just can't find it.

I have a krzr and found it easily (as it's the same port as the charger) but for the 8300, the music essentials kit adapter won't fit into the charger..

when someone sends me a picture message....i try to open it and it says "unable to recieve picture message". what in the world do i do to get it????

I am trying to located midi files of the 'missed call' tone and Ringer #6 from the latest lg phones (lg vx 8100, 8300 & 8600). Tried using bitpim to get them, but they are locked away somewhere. I wanted to switch those tones over to My Sounds. Any ideas on where I can get them?

I have gone through 3 bluetooth headsets and all have bad static problems 😈

does the mobile web cost a monthly fee to use it or does it just use airtime/minutes?

Verizon has a feature call ring back meaning if a person calls your phone they will hear music before you answer. would I have to go through file systems to download my own ring tones for this feature?

Does anyone know where I can get REGULAR ringtones? I am looking for business type ring ring type ringtones, not Omarion stating I have a text. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Can this model 8300 read text on the front screen like the model it replaces the 8100? So far, I'm unable to find if the buttons on the front are of any use other than for music play. Help.

What Apps do you have available on the 8300 for getting ringtones? I have only 4 available: SONG IDentity, Univision, True Tones /Univision, and Music Recognition. Plus the two Get it Now and Verizon Deluxe. I don't have the Sony or other apps for "regular" ringers. Everything is music related. Is my 8300 defective?

Is there a way to use ringers directly from the sd card? I saw a post on here how to put ringers on to the sd card than use bitpim to move them to phone, but I don't want that and use up the phone memory. I want to use the ringers directly from the card. I have ver 3 software. Hopefully this can be done.

I'm having trouble downloading mp3's music onto my phone bitpim has a mp3 category where you can send music other than ringers, but I'm having problems sending mp3 music to my phone.

my phone says its memory is full even though there is nothing on the memory. does anyone know how to delte or format the memory of the phone.

When I am writing a text in 'word' mode, how do I scroll through if the word that comes up isn't what I want to type. For example, lets say I try to type the word 'kid', but the word 'lie' comes up. Is there a way I can scroll through to select 'kid'??? It seems like my only option is to choose 'lie'. Does anyone have any ideas??
