LG VX-8300
VX-8300 and Bluetooth
My parents (not the world's most technically skilled people) purchased the VX-8300 and a Moto H500 headset. They don't seem to work very well at all. I have a V710 and a Plantronics 640 that I have used for about a year without a problem. I had a hard time getting the H500 to work with my phone too.
Is the H500 crap or does the VX-8300 have BT issues and if so, what BT headset works well with the VX-8300?
Thanks
vx-8300 reception question
Turns off
The telephone was lying on the table and I heard a chime sound. I looked at the phone and saw that it was off. I had to turn it back on.
I'm wondering how reliable it is, because I use it as an alarm clock too, so I feel I can't count on it now because it turned itself off.
Any ideas what happened?
Rings not as loud as when I play them in MyRingtones
Has anyone else noticed this?
Chime after missed call...
I just got my VX8300, and I've been toying with the settings, etc. for the past half hour or so.
Now, when I miss a call, my phone does an annoying little chime. I usually have my phone on all the time and I set to vibrate so I know when I get a call but it doesn't disrupt anyone else. The chime, however, is quite loud.
Does anyone know how to get it to stop doing this?
Thanks for any help.
Hopelessly Lost--Cingular SYNC/LG CU500/Samsung MM-A900M/LG VX8300
SYNC- 2 MP Camera; HSDPA; THIN
CU500- ROTATING CAMERA; APPEARANCE; 65K EXTERNAL
BLADE- LARGE INTERNAL SCREEN; SPRINT; CAMERA
LG VX8300- MP3; SMALL; CALL QUALITY
Obviously there are alot more, I am just stating the most common. Some of these phones have the exact same features, such as Camera, MP3 Keys etc.
Now what I am complaining about is the the SYNC has a HORRRIBLE external screen and it's probably the less impressive phone in terms of good looks and material unlike the rest. Its kinda plain lookin. The CU500 has no FLASH in it's camera, and it has only 65k colors ...

How will my 8300 interact with the bluetooth in this radio?
I'm thinking about having a new radio installed in my 2004 Toyota 4runner. It has bluetooth, so I wass wondering if you guys had any idea.
Specifically I am wondering if it will automatically connect, if it will allow me to transfer my phone book, and if it will show things like reception and battery power.
Also, will leaving bluetooth on full time drain my battery???
Thanks!!
Upgrading to V03
Anyway, I was wondering if I upgrade from V01 (I have it now) to V03 will the EQ still be there, when I play any Vcast or WMA files the audio seems flat, when I use the EQ with mp3 player in V01 I can make it sound better via EQ.

Music transfer question from old guy
I know this will sound wierd, but the fingerprints on the front of the 8600 will just drive me nuts, so I think I am gonna just go with the 8300.....
Question. Instead of buying the silly vcast kit from Verizon, can I just get a USB card reader and just load my music onto the SD card that way? Or am I missing something?
Another reason I want the 8300, is I still want a 2.5mm jack to give me a nice selection fo earbuds, I want to listen to music on my motorcycle.....
Any other opinions on why I should get the 8600 over the 8300..... I have been to the Verizon store freakin 3 times...... its a tough decision, but I think I am making the right choice....
By the way...

Dual / Twin desktop charger
Dang it! Just when I thought I found my next phone...
What's the deal? Is there ANY Bluetooth headset out there that works with this phone? I want one that will let me receive AND place calls by using the voice commands thru the headset. Has anyone found one that will do that ?
2GB Flash memory cards.
I don't see one sold on the Verizon site.
Are there any sources of (preferably cheaper than VZW) 2 GB memory cards that will work in this phone? Do they have to be the ones sold by Verizon to work in the phone?
Vibrate mode
Phone says video is too large to send.
But I recently took one & it says "it's too large to send please try another".
The kb on this particular vid is 192 all the other's are in the high 170's or low 180's kb.
All have been recorded in 15 secs, not sure why this one is larger than the rest of them.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I do not have a micro-card either if that could make a difference.
Thanx,
Greg.
Send music (ringtones) to phone?
This may or may not have been discussed before; I searched several pages of the forum and cannot find it.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
