Can you not send pictures through text?
Im new with the Blackberry 8130 and I can't seem to figure out if there is actually a way or a software to download to send pictures through text anyone???

Any way to type more than 160 characters in SMS text? PLEASE SOMEBODY?
Just wanted to know when u are texting in SMS is there any way to type over 160 characters like u can on regular phones cause this 160 limit is driving me nuts from what i am used to with my envy. I do know yes in MMS u can but what bout SMS? Thanks if anyone can help

BLUETOOTH PAIRING W/HANDS FREE KIT
Just got my 8130; lovin' it so far. But I'm having trouble getting my car's hands free kit to recognize the device. I deleted the previous device (Treo), though can't seem to change the device address on my car's screen and figure this will change itself once it recognizes the bb.
Anyway, on my car it has a four-digit passcode and I don't see anywhere on my bb, during the attempted pairing, where I'm prompted for a passcode.
Help!!

Phonebook Transfer to the BB??

Anyone know the easiest way i can transfer my contacts from my old phone (VX8700) to the blackberry pearl? I was hoping "Phonebook Assistance" could do it but I'm stumped! 🙄

First Q... this is more an oddity...
I went to check my voice mail today and ended up listening to my pearl go BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP for about 5 minutes. It'd do it even after I had turned the phone off }:/ Thankfully, I have SoftReset, which got it to shut up. No idea of what caused this to happen, any ideas?
Second Q... I see people saying "get Sprints Pearl OS!", yet my googlefu is totally failing and I can't find a link to it. Any links?

Dial Tone will not disable
I have went to the menu screen and then to screen/keybaord and tried to turn off the Key tone but it still makes a key tone is there another way to do this?

How do you turn off the key sounds, I sett hem to off inthe options but when I dial it still makes a noise.
When you charge your Pearl while the unit is on is there any indictation icons to allow you to see the charging process? I know that is the unit is off it allows you to see a LED pulse, and then when charged it turns green.
What are the two yellow arrows up in the right hand corner that point up and down? I see them appear every now and then.

Verizon MMS
I have had the verizon blackberry pearl for a little under a weeek. The only complaint I have so far is the following: I can not get my pearl to send MMS messages. All it does is try to send it and then put the big red x by the message signaling it was not sent. I was wondering if there is a setting I need to fix or is this an issue I need to take up with verizon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Missed Call Notificaton
My phone had to do a reset and in the middle I guess I missed a call and the notification on the top of the screen showed up. Problem is the missed call does not show up in my call log and I cant get rid of the notification. Anyone know how to get rid of it, I tried erasing all my call logs and messages and still no dice.

Blackberry 8130 voice dialing issue solution.....
I have the above phone and have experienced the same bluetooth voice dialing w/handset in holster/case problem. It disconnects when voice dialing through bluetooth while in case...And I've tried it with 3 different bluetooth's from 2 different manufacterers (Jabra & Motorola).
My case has a magnetic clasp to hold it closed, and whenever I use that case I can't voice dial, but when I switched to my old velcro closure case, I can voice dial w/bluetooth just fine!
Sounds like magnetic interference to me.

So far it's great - Just one major bug I found , they better fix fast !
BUG 8130 Pearl:
When using bluetooth and the phone is in the holster and you voice dial, the dialer says it's calling and it simply drops the call and never dials it.
Yes, you can receive calls with the answer button when its in the case but no dialing. We checked all settings and something is very wrong. If you slide it out of the case and use the voice dialer , it works great.
