Samsung SCH-A670

Does anyone know how to reset the lock code or reset the whole phone?

I can't decide to buy either this phone or the LG VX6100. I've read through a lot of the reviews on both phones, but they both seem to have the same kinds of positive and negative responses. So if anyone has experienced both phones, please help me out here.

Several months ago I had no problem transferring MIDI files to my phone and using them as ring tones. Just recently I tried another batch but the results were very disappointing. No matter what, all the MIDI files were extremely loud and distorted when played by the phone. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix it? I use funformobile.com to send the files to my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to cycle through the phone's alerts? For example, if I have 2 missed calls, I see the first one when I flip open the phone. How do I get to the second missed call besides going to menu > 2 > 3? Hitting "OK" takes me to the screensaver. There has to be a way to scroll through the alerts.

How can I change the ringer type & volume of my voicemail or text message ringer? I can't find this option anywhere.

i just switched my phone from the LG vx6100 to the samsung a670...i miss my LG. The samsung doesnt seem too complicated, it doesnt have any of the features a LG does, but i can't even figure out how to make the sounds completely silent. i know how to get into manner mode/vibrate mode..but how do i make my phone silent all around? I feel stupid becuase cell phones and figuring them out and knowing everything about them is usually "my thing"...but this is my first samsung...its confusing..the handbook doesnt even tell me. can someone help me out? please

i just got this phone around 2 days ago, and i have tried to send a picture to my boyfriends phone and it does not work. it keeps saying "invalid destination address" everytime i try and send it. i know it works because i sent a picture to myself and it came through. does anyone know why this is happening?

Ok everyone, as you know i have a70 and i am pretty much an expert on how the phone runs but i am having some problems w/it lately and would like some help if at all possible. First of all, starting about a week or so ago i would turn my phone on and when in the middle of a phone call, it would just shut down on me or i could be on the Get It Now menu and it'll just shut down on me. I have no idea why this is happening and right now, my phone won't even turn on. Im really gettting worried here cause i have soo much information saved on my phone and if this is a general problem w/ all a-670's then handing me another one due to the 1-year manufactered warranty is not going to solve my problem. If ANYBODY at all has ever had this problem before...

I know you can purchase cables that hook the a670 up to a computer, but what does this allow you to do?
What i really want to know is if you can transfer pictures from the phone to the computer. If you cant....what use is a camera on the phone? I dont want to have to send the pictures to my computer and get charged for pic messaging.

When you go to enter an event on the To Do List, the phone asks you to enter a time and date in which you would like to be reminded of the event that your adding. When you hit the OK button and the phone saves that information, is the phone then supposd to audibly or silently alert you of when that event is supposed to happen? When i entered an event for the TO Do List, anda specific time, I waited and waited and the phonen didnt' alert me as to whem the even was supposed to happen. THanks to anyone for ansering this simple little question!!

Does anyone know if you can turn the flash for the camera on and have it stay on? I have seen people use their flashes as flash lights and I think that would be nice to have.

Can you change the clock on the outside to be digital? Most the pics on the net show it like an analog clock...

My manual doesn't really say much about browing the web on my phone. What are some tricks? Like, how do I create bookmarks? It would be great if I could just hold down he "1" button and go right to my moviephone page, for instance. Can anyone point me to a good reference page for this type of info?

I figured that the easiest and best-sounding way to get ringtones to my Samsung A670 was to take an MP3, convert it to WAV (22050, 8 bit), goto VZWpiz.com and upload it then send it to my phone as a picture message. Now my question is how many custom ringtones can the A670 have saved on it at once? I've had 3 on there that were around 1 meg in size each. Any ideas what the max # on the phone at once is? Thanks.

I can get polyphonic to work just fine. Ringtone samples from one true tone vendor on Verizons website are small mp3's. I tried making short mp3's at 48 KBPS and 22 hz. After sending them to the phone the file says corrupted. Anyone have any luck?

I just bought my SCH-A670 and I was wondering if there is any way that I could get AIM on my phone?

Can someone PLEASE post a step by step guid on how to use the 670 and bitpim, I have tried countless times and have no clue on how to do anything. Thank you

Is it possible to send a video on my phone to my computer? I have a video of my friend asking his girlfriend to marry him, and he wants the video.....just wondering how I can get it to him.

Is anyone having the same problem as me or have some advice for me?

I have the Samsung SCH a670. I can send and recieve text messages, but when cingular customers try to text me i dont recieve the message and they get a message back that says "unknown carrier". I am paying for a text message plan and would really like to be able to use it. Any ideas?

what program do you guys/gals suggest to convert my mp3 into mmf/ringtone format? which programs will work with the a670?? i downloaded bitpim for transfer purposes, and am going to get a usb transfer cable. anything else i need?? thanks.
