LG VX-7000

Just got the VX7000 and am fooling around with recording my own ringtones (just recording the persons voice and/or music).

When you record something, the phone assigns the recording a number. I can't seem to find a way to edit this number to a more recognizable title. Also, I am unable to figure out how you delete unwanted recordings.

I've checked the manual, but it doesn't even seem to address recording features at all.

Anyone know how to do this?

I know how the external display dims (greatly) after XX seconds. How are you alerted when there's a VM or missed call-visually? Can the icons/words be seen clearly enough when dimmed? Do lights flash, etc?

I've got a 6100 that works fairly well but I have to use force mode to get a usable (800mHz, extended USCC network) signal inside at both my workplace and at home. Yes, I live in a 1900 PCS area.

I'm thinking of switching to a 7000 and have a couple days yet to do it.

My questions:
For those who have had both. WILL the 7000 pick up and hold a USABLE digital signal in marginal areas (indoors, basement, etc.) where the 6100 either switched on its own or (more likely) needed to be manually forced to a different mode? Are the Rx Power numbers different enough between the two?

Display themes...i change them...but i dont see what they change. Also...font size...which font size changes? I cant tell whats largeer or smaller.

anyone know how to change the color of the light when u get like a txt. can u pick what color u want?! thanks!!

my old verizon phone showed "D" for digital almost all the time. My VX7000 always shows "1X" at the top instead. Is it just me?

I just bought the usb cable and drivers for the LG 7000 today. I think I installed the drivers probably. but now what what do I do? I connect the cable to my pc and my phone.
where do i get mp3's?
and how do I use?

can you have like an alert or something that tells you that you have a missed call, like a beep or something? cuz on my 6000 i dont know i have a missed call until i open my phone.

Is the 7000 EV-DO compatible? VZW is rolling out the 8000 Feb. 1st and they say it will be able to view the VAST EV-DO service of TV on the phone for $15/month.

I'm trying to use my VX7000 to send/receive emails from my Yahoo! account. To do this, I first purchased the Mobile IM application from the "Get It Now" menu. After reading the help for Mobile IM, I found out that I need to enable Pop access on my Yahoo account. It turns out that to get Pop access, I had to purchase the Mail Plus option on Yahoo! for $19.99. Unfortunately, even after enabling Pop access, I cannot retrieve any emails, although I can send out emails. When I try to "Get Email", I get the following error on my VX7000:

"-ERR Error logging in.
Please visit http://mail.yahoo.com..."

I bought Mobile Action product and it came in a package labeled "Mobile Phone Sync data suite" In no place on package does it say "Mobile Action" It has a sticker that says MA-8022 Is this the Mobile Action product or did I get ripped off? (It does work with MA software downloaded)

There is an option to change banner on the outter display. Does anyone know why it doesn't work? Why then is this option given?
