Does anyone know if this phone is compatible with the Jabra freespeak device?

Hi I just recieved my 6100 yestereday and I new to all this mp3 stuff. Is there any way to get mp3's to play on my phone. I am really not fond of the polyphonic ring tones that sound like an organ playing usher- its not cute. If anyone can help me that would be great.

I just upgraded from the 6000 to the 6100. I love the 6100 very much, but I seem to have already filled up on ringtones. I had at least three times as many ringtones in my 6000, but for some reason the 6100 seems to fill up quickly. I dont even have any voice tones downloaded. Just standard poly tones, but the phone is already full. I know the 6000 had a lot of room for ringers, the 7000 has a TON of room, what about the 6100? My friend picked up the Audiovox/Toshiba 9900 and that phone has 5mb of total storage on it. All of the data shares from the same memory bank. On the 6100, It says i have 3mb free in my Get It Now folder, but i cannot save any more ringtones bc the phone is out of memory. Is there any way around this? Is there even a w...

Anyone had any luck syncing a calendar with the 6100? I tried it with Bitpim, and it fried the phone. It hung and then would not boot up anymore. Fortunately, VZ replaced the phone with no questions asked. Now, I am scared to try again.

I just got my phone and the volume problem Iam
experiencing is that even with volume in the ear piece set at high the volume does not seem loud enough. Any others experience this?
The is no 3 sec volume decrease when I answer a call which gets better. It just sounds low even on the high setting.

Has anyone used data pilot phone sync software
with the 6100. They claim you can download the pic off the camera to your pc

Anyone else experience this:

You're on a call, low battery message
comes up - plug the phone into the
charger (and it says it's charging) yet
2-3 minutes later the phone powers down?
As though you never plugged in at all?

This happens every single time, so it's not
some one off thing.

I have noticed, if the battery is very low -
but I plug in BEFORE making the call, no
problems.

Basically. if you are on a call and
plug in when that message comes up, the
phone doesn't pull enough current to keep
the call/phone on. So I suspect it's a firmware
bug.. anyone else experience this?

or know if it's going to be addressed in this
first firmware update?

It's been mentioned everywhere but i want to point out again my frustration with this phone. Reception is just not up to par with the Motorolas. 🤭 I'm pretty dissapointed. I had to return mine to VZW and get the v265 w/c I didn't really want to do because of the camera and color. At least with the v265, I can make calls everywhere in my area without dropping calls. LG, you must have learned by now... I don't care how nice your phones, if you can't get reception, what good is it? I guess the Vx7000 is probably the same...

Has anyone tried any software that allows the pics to be downloaded from the phone to your pc? If so what is the name of the soft ware and where can I get it.

I've had my 6100 for about a month now. I used to have a 4500 but had to switch it out for reasons I won't get into. On the 4500, there was the option of hitting one of the side buttons twice to send the caller directly to voice mail (if you didn't want to answer it). Is there such an option on the 6100? I dislike that my phone rings about 6 times or so before it goes to voice mail. 😡

I just recently upgraded from a T720 to a VX-6100. I want to setup the WAP to use my own WAP server but I can't figure out where to enter the IP address and the port number. On the T720 it was easy, I just went to browser setup. I checked the manual and it doesn't mention anything about setting up the browser on the VX-6100. Has Verizon eliminated this to force everyone to pay for their service? If anyone knows how to get to where I can enter the IP address on the VX-6100 can you please tell me? Thanks.

Is AIM available on the 6100? I can't seem to locate it on Get It Now.

I just upgraded from a VX-6000 to a VX-6100. On my old phone, holding down the star key would cycle the ringer through Normal Mode, Manner Mode, and Silence All. The new one works the same way, but only Normal and Manner Modes come up. I can't find any reference to Silence All in the manual (whose index leaves a lot to be desired), except there is an Icon listed showing Silence All. Has anyone figured out how to put the phone into that mode?

I just received my extended battery for the VX-6100 which was backorder for a couple of weeks after I got the phone online so I'm checking to see how long the battery charge can last. I'm receiving a minimal amount of calls on it and I'm trying to minimize its usage.
I do have one question though. In the user's manual, it states "keep the phone charged when not in use to maximize talk and standby time". Does that mean when I'm home, the phone should be left plugged up charging until I leave the house? Or, as it says further on in the manual, "the maximum charge time for a fully discharged battery is 3.5 hours", meaning, don't ever let the phone charge for more than that period of time? I'd appreciate a little clarification from anyone in ...
