😎 FYI For the people who do not know. This phone is NOT insurable. Lock Line will not touch it. I'm a phone wh**e, anything new I have to have it. When I bought the phone on-line from Cingular and called to activate the SIM I then inquired about insurance and the nice young lady put insurance on my account and sent me an email showing the insurance coverage. Day after I am speaking with my Cingular "friend-nerd" and we got on the conversation about insurance. He informed me the phone was not insurable and ALOT of Cingular reps don't know this. After I told him I have a contract showing insurance he then laughed and said Cingular is liable in the eye of the courts should you file a claim. Hey all, how is everyone doing? I just bought a Razr V3 about three days ago and I love the phone but I'm having some ptroblems and I hope someone can help me. PLEASE???

My first question is AIM. I sign on and everything seems fine. My friend IMs me and I receive it but when I tried to reply, I get "Fail. Send IM to..." What should I do? Also, does the AIM take text messages usage or the net usage?


My second problem is when I try to send an email to an email address using "mynumber"@mmscingular.com, I get a notice saying "Cannot connect. Setup incomplete." What setup?? My old phone (Motorola V600) didn't need setup? What's wrong?

My last thing how many Mp3 can I sent to my phone. One mp3 is usually 5.5MB. How much can the phone ho...

Hello. I'm looking to protect both the actual phone screen and the external screen. I know that there's products out there to protect the main screen. Do you guys recommend any specific one? Also, does any company sell a protective film for the outside screen/view-window?

Hello. My brand-new Motorola V3 just came in the mail today. Well, when I inserted my T-Mobile SIM card into the phone, it said to enter the subsidy code. So, does this mean that it's locked? Is there anything that I can do? Should I try returning the phone?

i can not send and recieve pictures and other mulimedia on my razr. t mobile said this is because i do not have their browser settings. they told me to call motorola to have the settings built for cingular erased and they could send me the new. motorola said this process is impossible. that sucks that i can not use my phone to it's potential. does anyone know of a solution?

90% of the time my RAZR V3 gets a call fail error, sometimes even when the signal bars are full.
What to do?

I got my V3 and using Cingular Service in NYC for a few months now and my service has been good up until a few days ago. Does anybody know if anything is wrong with the network? I get a lot of call fails and a lot of times when people dial in to my phone, it goes directly to voicemail. When I bought my phone in to the Cingular store, it was working fine. It's so annoying. I was wondering if anybody else in the NYC area is experiencing a similar problem.

Hello. I'm new here and I was wondering what is the best overall holster to buy? I'm not really interested in a leather case, but an actual holster to show off the phone's true beauty. I've seen holsters in a triangular shape and I've seen them in a rectangular shape. Is there any specific one you guys have had luck with? Also, the phone will be going in and out of the holster alot (i.e. answering calls)--is there a holster you guys recommend that won't scratch it up?
I've had bad luck in the past w/ breaking holsters made of cheap plastic, so I'm looking for one a little more durable.

T-Mobile in the UK has the V3 Razr for about $155 with a 1 year contract. I was surprised at how low the price was but there are also 4 GSM carriers.....

This is the second Moto Razr that is doing this, so it must be a feature of the phone. Specifically, if the front or either side of the phone gets tapped or jarred, the phone shuts down. Has anyone else noticed this? 🙂

Is there any way to boost the Volume?
The highest level (7) is just fair at best.

I have just received my V3 and have been playing around with various images as wallpaper. I notice that if I turn the screen to the left the image darkens very quickly and mostly disappears along with most of the text. If I turn the screen to the right the image and text stays viewable for much longer. In fact the optimum viewing angle seems to be when the screen is turned to the right by 10 or 20 degrees. Is this normal or is my screen faulty? 😕

has anyone heard about the 150$ price drop the razr is taking in march >??? that would make it 230$ after my company discount.. that might be wurth it..

This has been bugging me since I got my V3. When I receive a message there is a number that identifies the sender. This number seems to be assigned to each sender since the same individual number appears for the same individual sender. Does anyone know if there is a was to assign a name to that number so that the name appears on my message list instead of the number?

What should I use to clean the v3's external screen display? I have what looks to be a nasty fingerprint that isn't wiping off with a dry cloth. And I don't want to do any damages to the phone. Thanks

I have searched the forum and noted some early discussion, but no resolution to the question of real life battery time. My V3 is 2 weeks old, already tried a new battery and I am still only getting 60-90 minutes of talk time and 24-36 hours of standby time, sure doesn't match the touted numbers. Does Bluetooth being on drain the batter 8-10x faster? I leave it on to use my car's bluetooth speakerphone. Looking for some experiences out there. Thanks.

I want to trade my V3 for a Siemens S66. Anyone interested?

I've managed to surf the internet on my laptop via GPRS. My V3 has to be connected to my laptop via the USB cable.

I'm trying to do the same thing by using a bluetooth link to my V3 instead of using the cable. It connects to the verifies my ID/Password, registers on the network, and then drops the connection with the following error message:
Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated.

I'm using the same settings as when I'm connecting via my USB cable, so I'm not sure what's causing this.

Anyone else have this problem?
