Motorola RAZR V3

When using the speakerphone, you can CLOSE the V3 and continue your call, may look strange, etc. but you can do it.

To end your call in this "mode" you press and hold the left smart button (under the volume rocker).

I find this useful for when using the speaker I no longer have to keep the thing sitting on the desk, etc. open ....

Can someone please tell me what steps you took to get the Mac to see the V3 in iSync? I was able to make a bluetooth connection, but of course not use iSynch through it. But when I use a USB cable, and try to find the V3 in iSync, it does not find anything. I tried turning off bluetooth first, in case that was interfering, but still nothing. (PowerBook G4; OS 10.3.😎

Okay, so it's expensive and overrated but you know what?... I bought it because it's thin as hell and I like that.

Now how to make it work with iSync. I haven't figured out how to Bluetooth it, but with the USB cable one can sync it with Address Book, iCal, etc., using iSync.

Except it won't import/export VIP contacts or any other subcategory of contacts.

And worse, it seems to mess up iCal by doubling appointments and infecting iSync with these double appointments which spreads to all the computers on your network.

I expect that one day Mac and Moto will come together to make iSync work for us, but until then, please post any advice for Mac users struggling with the Moto Razr v3 here!

Hello, everybody!

Yesterday I bought V3. it's an amazing phone but I have one big question!!!

How can I search in the contacts using not just the first letter, but the second and the third?

For example, I'm searching for the name Petrov. In Nokia I just enter "p", than "e", than "t" and I jump exactly to the name.

Is it possible in V3? 😲

I have sync'd using the USB cable and got all my numbers over. However, they seem to be in some kind of format which the phone wont search on. All the numbers are there but I can only access by scrolling down to each one. If I manually enter a new number the name is slightly off set to the left.

Any ideas?

Anybody have any hard dates as to when this phone will be available to the general market?

Does anyone know if the RAZR has Speaker-Independent Digit Dialing / Voice Command like the Motorola V265 for Verizon? My friend has the V265 and the Voice Command is amazing - you don't have to train your phone book to make voice activated calls. On the Motorola RAZR site it says it has "voice recognition", but I would like confirmation whether this is the same thing as Voice Command. This is an awesome feature that you'd think would be hyped if the RAZR had it. Thanks.

I have a Razr V3 and just installed mobile phone tools 3.11, when I select the find me option on the phone and select the search for devices option on the phone tools it just keeps searching and searching but never finds the phone. I am using the Motorola Bluetooth USB adapter that came with the phone tools. My pc has connected with the phone so I know it can work but the phone tools will not connect with it. Any help?

The external screen on my Razr recently developed a black line that runs directly across the middle of the screen. It looks like part of the screen is burned out. Is this a software issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

Anyone see the new black RAZR? It looks really awesome. I can't say if it's going to be coming out cause I'm not sure, all I know is that winners of an academy award will be receiving them.

Is it me or is this V3 manual useless - no explinations of what things are intended for. you have to figure that out. Seams to me the manual was rushed.

How on earth do you put more than one number in for a single person, without putting in an entry for each number?
