Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557

On my v551, I have been experimenting with the mootomixer. I wanted to change one of my MIDI ringtones but I found that I could not. I tried to add the ringtone to the base track list, but I could not find a way to. The only base track is "Spooky" Any help? ☹️

How do U Make em or do anything with em i dont have bluetooth but i want mp3 ringtones but i dont know how to do that!!

Is there some trick to be able to send messages with the built in email client? I can receive but not send, server error every time and I have the pop & smtp servers, passwords, username, etc set up as they should be (I've double checked about 8 times).

Also, on the media site for email, can I change my outgoing address to something besides @mycingular.com?

Forgive me if this is an idiotic question, but this is my first camera phone.

What is the most efficient way to end up with a printed photo from my camera photo?

i.e. how do I get a photo from a camera to my computer (I operate on mac OS X)?

Do I have to email it to myself, or IM it to myself, or what now?

Or is this just entirely impossible?

If it is possible, will my uploaded photo be small or approximately normal sized?

IF I'M GOING TO MAKE MY OWN RINGTONES WHAT SAMPLE RATE DOES THIS PHONE NEED???? DO I SAVE IT AS A WAVE FILE? I KNOW THAT I CAN SEND THE FILE VIA BLUETOOTH

Hello. I have a question about a mobile phone manager for my computer. Is there any free program that I can use to get rid of the system pictures, video and ringtones that came with my V551 phone to have more space available? Thanks a lot.

Ok...heres the thing (i'm a sony ericsson dude, just had a problem with my Z500, great phone btw). i downloaded the drivers and P2kman and transfered mp3 tones i shortened and optimized for ring tone use. they went into the file manager or whatever and plays. but it doesnt show up in the audio settings menu. if i choose to use it as a ringtone from the file manager, and if the phone rings, theres no sound. if i try to get into the ringer profile settings, it doesn't want to go. it just goes back to the main settings menu.

Ok so i got my phone yesterday and i got it activated and all that junk.

But i also bought the cord that would hook it up to my computer but i need to know how i put the mp3's from my computer onto my phone and pictures from my phone to my computer.

Any help and/or a website with the info would be great thanks. 😉

Is there any way I can buy a Bluetooth adapter and then transfer ringtones from my computer to my phone (even if I don't have a Cingular wireless media package, i.e. internet connection)?

yeah i just got my v330 and i uploaded some ringtones using the famous 'walmart trick'. but the files are enormous! i'm scared they'll start to slow my phone down or something. does anyone know what i could do for this?

I'm about to replace an aging Nokia 3650 with a Motorola V330 (sticking with T-Mobile). I've heard horror stories about how phones whose ability to send or receive pictures, ringtones, and apps over Bluetooth or cable have been disabled by carriers to force you to use slow and expensive over-the-air transfers.

Reading threads here, it sounds like things are OK with the V330 and T-Mobile, but just to make double sure:

1) Can I install ringtones, wallpapers, and apps from a PC or Mac to the V330 using Bluetooth and/or the USB cable?
2) Can I send pictures from the V330 to a PC or Mac over Bluetooth or USB?

I'm not asking "how" -- if it's possible, I should be able to figure it out. I just want to make sure some doofus didn't d...

I'm interested in purchasing a v551, but one requirement I have is that email can be configured for SSL/TLS encryption. I can't find any confirmation one way or the other.

Currently, my V551 is only allowing a very limited amount of text to come through for incoming text messages. If I get it via an email forward, then it breaks it up into 5 text messages max. But if it is a SMS to my phone, it only shows about four lines and then no more (not even through a seperate text message). Anyone know how to adjust the lengh so that it shows a lot more?

Anyone know where I can get a cheap/good bluetooth ear peice?

On the V330, I was surprised to notice that there is apparently no support for numeric shortcuts in menus -- that is, you can't just press 5 to get the 5th choice in the menu; instead, you have to scroll down to the item and select it. This seems like a strange omission -- Nokias (and others) have had this forever. Anybody know if there's some option hidden to enable shortcuts, or a good way to avoid having to do the down-down-down-down-select thing all the time?

Does anyone know if there are any programs that will increase the volume level in the headset of the V551? I know of volumecare for the treo but it seems that it doesn't work for the V551. Any help would be great.

is there a way to make the font/letters bigger on the display? when the phone is mounted on the dash of my car it's hard for me to make out contact info. and way to make bigger or otherwise make more legible? thanks.

My only question left, after messing around with it for the past day, is how do I set a tone for text messages? Is there anyway how?

Whenever I get a message, it just shows "Message Received" in this display but gives me no sound alert...which would be nice.

Some help please?
