Motorola V360 / V361

I do I get the phone to recognize the mp3 files I put on the phone. I used the USB cable to connect the phone to my PC and it came up like a removable thumb drive. I copied a .mp3 file to what I thought was the appropriate directory but couldn't play it.

BTW, I chose this over the RAZR and so far I am happy with it. Although, at the end of my contract - I am probably going to go with Verizon over T-Mobile. My signal has issues!

Which on is a better pick? I do not care about the camera.

Which has a better MP3 Player?

Which has better reception?

Which has Better battery Life?

On which are ringers louder?

Which has better Bluetooth security?

The main thing I want is better security for bluetooth.

which one should i get, I can get them both for free with a new contract and they both come with blue tooth. But which is better?

I was wondering if the v360 had an option of "scrolling" through the various phone book categories instead of selecting the phone book view manually. Anyone have any idea?

Does anyone know the difference between these two phones? I can't figure it out.

I realize that the Moto spec states 512Mb max for the Transflash card. The spec may have been based on the max available in the industry at that time. My question is this: Has anyone had success using a card greater than 512Mb in the V360? Reason I ask, Fry's has the 1Gb card for $25 after rebate, this week only.

My display has gone and I want to transfer my memory to my computer but the USB setting is incorrect. I need simple menu commands (menu button, left twice, down once... etc.) to get to how I change the USB transfer setting to Data/fax transfer.

I have done so many things with my Motorola V360. I have modded it so many times that I could change everything. I changed the length of the video capture to up to 60 minutes and figured a way to watch movies at full screen, turned VGA camera into a 2 megapixal camera, I added many menu keys, added iTunes, changed video types to mpeg, avi, 3GP, made it play wma, mp3, and any other type of audio not just mp3. I found a way to change external display to what I like. I made self portrait mode, where you can take a picture while the camera is closed and use external display and more all on V360.

You can do so much! Its so awesome. A step by step way to do this is

Menu/settings/connections/fax>data connections and then plug in USB into comp...

I have got problem with my moto. when I connect a BT adapter the phone does not ring a personal rings for each person but the regular ring. Does anybody know how to change it ?

I recently purchased the motorola L6 from crazy Johns for $150 and to my disgust found out that the Telstra shop was selling the Motorola V360 for $99 one reason was i wanted an Mp3 player and ive looked around and found that the V360 is a better phone. I want to sell my L6 and buy a V360 and suggestions if what i can do?

Is There anyway to put iTunes on the v360? I saw a video on you tube with a v360 and it had iTunes on it...It was looking like slvr or the rokr iTunes software

how do you downlaod the songs onto your phone for the mp3 player it wont work for me

I've got a problem with the phonebook on my new v360: I transferred all entries from my old phone's SIM card, which is no longer active, to the phone - I did 'Copy all from SIM'. Everything is fine. I replaced old SIM card with the new one, which is active. Now I wanted to copy all my contacts to this SIM card and I did 'Copy all to SIM'. No problems. However, now when I open the phonebook, I see duplicate entries: one from the phone and one from SIM for every phone number. I would like to see only entries from the phone. Is this possible at all?

I have this phone on T-mobile, and I downloaded a game and accidentally selected it to install on the memory card. This sucks because it doesn't show up on the list with my other games, and I don't wanna have to switch to TRANS every time I wanna play this game.

is there a way to get it on the phone without buying it again?

How can I use the sound player to play mp3's? I'm not too fond of the java music player.

I tried making a playlist, but only ringtones show up, I suspect it's only looking at the phone, how do I get it to read the transflash card?


Also, the motorola headphones bite. anybody know the pin-out to the 2.5mm jack so I can modify my own headphones?

I wanted to know does the sd adapter work with the card front on a compaq computer? i also wanted to know do i need any extra software for the phone to be seen by the computer or can i just get a cable and hook it up and it'll be seen?

What features does the AIM on this phone support? Buddy list size? Etc?

I had a Samsung SGHx475 and the one thing that bothered the hell out of me was the inability to use a custom away message. It was always "I am currently not responding to messsages."

I'd like to be able to tell people where I am and all that kinda thing, seeing that I'm going to use it a whole lot more with the FamilyTalk unlimited messaging deal from T-Mobile.

So custom away messages? Yes? No?
