Can this be done?

When closing an application, does it really close or you have to manually close from the task manager?

Everyone here is very knowledgeable and most of you are woners. I could really use some consensus feedback. I need to move from my Moto E815 to a PDA phone for business. I am torn between the Q,Treo700w and BBerry. I will need to use this for business with ACT as a contact database, Outlook as my email from company server. The only feature I see missing with the 700w is "voice dialing". Is it possible to get this feature. I use it extensively when I travel. Also- is the Treo phone reception reliable? I am on Verizon and get outstanding reception (even in 'roaming' fringe areas. Is this phone better than the 650 and 600 or the same? Have business acquaintances who drop calls right and left on the 650's.

When sending a text, a message comes back saying message sent. How can I turn that option off?

Does this phone have any alerts if I miss a call? The v710 beeped every few minutes if I missed anything, which was great if I missed a call.

I need some help with my a Bluetooth Headset for my Treo 700w. I have the H700 and it doesnt work well at all. I really need a bluetooth headset for this phone. When I ordered the Treo 700w in Jan I also ordered the headset. I was hoping that they would fix the bluetooth so it worked better but even with this update it still does not work. I cant have my Phone in my pocket and use my headset. If someone has gotten the H700 to work with their Treo please tell me. Thanks for any help.

It's time for my VZW "new every 2". I want a smartphone. Which should I get - the Q or the Treo 700W?

my friend is interested in getting a verizon phone with the following requirements:
1) scheduler/organizer - like in a pda
2) mp3 player
3) car navigation. i know most verizon phones now support GETITNOW NAVGATOR. the problem is that i think it only works if i have verizon service since all map data is stored on the verizon servers. i want to buy navigation software that will work with my pda phone, use the phones gps capabilities, and either uploead all mapping of the US or regional mapping via bluetooth/cable.
4) expandable memory splot incase she needs to install more memory for new software

she was looking at the TREO 650/700, 6700, and Q. which one would be best for her needs?
what NAV software do you recommend and how much...

I think everyone believes that a phones battery should last a year. You guys are laughable.

...when there might be a price drop for the 700w? I was hoping to see one with the 700p out, but maybe we have to wait until Sprint gets the 700w too?

We have 5 Treos in our organization that I purchased for myself and some of the higher ups. Since updating all of them to the 1.1 firmware, when the higher ups travel to our holding company's headquarters in Tulsa, OK they are unable to connect to a data network. This doesn't go over well with the higher ups when they cannot receive email...

They both swear that email worked fine before the updates.

Things I have had them try include:

Changing the "Band Selection" to Automatic A, B, and Home.
Soft reset
Running the *228 roaming update

Greetings all. I have three questions for you....

(1.) Is there a spam filter for the POP email on the 700w?

(2.) Is there a program to download AOL mail?

(3.) Has anyone had a problem answering calls when using a custom ringtone? I have many ringtones that I created and assigned. Sometimes when people call I will hit answer and the phone will continue to ring and vibrate...even after we are connected. Please help...and thanks in advance.

I have a question re Outlook Exchange. I can get by for the most part with ActiveSync pushing new email through EVDO, however at times I need to access all the Outlook folders on my office computer. For that I am assuming I'd want to connect to the Exchange Server (like I would in a hotel business center for example). Can I access this on a 700w through regular web access via EVDO, and would this be fast enough to navigate through folders etc? Or would I need the web access speeds of wifi (via a Palm wifi card)? Can I even access Outlook's Exchange Server on the 700w via either EVDO or Wifi?

I have had my treo now for a few days, I have just noticed that the screen on it is bending in a little bit on the middle bottom and top - that is the top and bottom edges are where they should be but towards the middle portion of the top and bottom border it is noticeably pulled away from the physical screen edge like it's bent inward.

Is this normal? Is there a fix? Thanks!

Is there a way to change the path of "My Documents" on my Treo700w to reside on my 1GB storage card?

Just checking...I want to be able to store my client files on this device and this will quickly out grow the builtin storage and I was hoping to avoid having to move stuff around constantly. I already keep my client files in my "Treo My Documents" on my computer so that they sync with the Treo, but it would be nice if they sync to the 1GB storage card on the Treo automatically.

Don't do the update... You will be sorry.. Since I updated, dropping every call.. Constantly connected to the internet - battery life goes from 2 days to 5 hours, if you call into someplace that requires phone prompts, the phone doesn't send the tones... Called Palm, they said Verizon supports the phone, called Verizon and they said it is a palm issue, to watch their website.. Was told per VZW policy, there would be no credit for lost service.. Was told I am SOL until palm corrects the update... SO, basically another crap phone from VZW, with no support...

I am looking at the cost for data plans to use the 700 to access the web using Verizon. Am I correct that the least expensive plan to give one access to the Web (and use the phone) on the Treo 700 is Verizon's $79 per month plan?

Is purchasing this plan the only way to get email on the Treo 700? According to the Verizon salesman, using wifi to access another network provider will be blocked on the 700, is that true? So, I could not take this phone and a wifi card to a Starbucks and access Sprint's hotspot? Or any other hotspot for that matter.

What I really wanted to do was to stream live radio, but it seems that will require the $79 plan, is that right?

Does that seem a bit high to anyone but me?

I just noticed that Palm have removed the link to the update from their site.
My update froze half way through.I hard reset the device and I noticed that the version on the phone tab was 1.10-VZW. I figured I was set. The only thing I could not do was install the root cert. I was researching this just now and came a cross a good thread on Howard Forum which lists the components that are upgraded with this update.I noticed on my Treo,only the phone update had been installed,the rest had not.So I went to Palm.Com to research and noticed the absence pf the update link. I went to Verizonwireless.com, and the same thing......
