Palm Treo 700w / 700wx

Anyone no when the treo 700 will be released for sprint?

I have been waiting a long time for a decent PDA to work on the sprint network.

Maybe I'm beating a dead hours but can anyone help me put ringtones on my 700w? I have a 2g SD card and need help gettin' the whole process down. Thanks in Advance 😁

I recieved my treo 700w this week, and have been trying to figure things out. The usb sync does not seem to be that reliable, and it is inconvenient. I was trying to connect through bluetooth and cannot get the sync to work. It seems like a blocked feature as it does not apear on the phone when Pairing occurs. I checked out the Palm website, and ther just seems to be something I am missing.
Also, I copied some mp3 ringtones onto the phone from the SD card and cant figure out how to apply them as ringtones.
Lastly, is there a free AIM instant messanger program? Do you recomend any other programs?

I've had this phone for about a month and a half. The syncronization is extremely slow, I've actually had to do a hard reset twice. VERY VERY frusterating. Has anyone else experienced this??? 🙄 😡

any thoughts on which phone i should buy. pros and cons of buying each?

I use the USB cable to sync my 700w. The few times that it worked it too over 10 minutes. There are no issues with my pc and I am using the most current version of activesync. now it wont even sync. 700w sux.

I have been trying to get movies/videos to play on my treo, but it says its eithor not recognized or cant be found. Is there a special format that it has to be in? I tried AVI and Mpeg...Any tips?

I have set up a POP account, twice to be sure it was right, and when I try to send an email with it I ge a return email that states the recipient was invalid. The recipient is valid and the address correct and I get the same message no matter who I send it to. Also, while it returns this email to me, it also downloads all other mail in my inbox so I know the connection is good. Any suggestions???

Anyone know if the Jabra BT800 works 100% with the Verizon 700W. Such as Caller ID, Voice Dial, etc, etc.

Have you been able to come up with an answer to my problems?

1.) Phone will continue to vibrate/ring after I answer a call.

2.) Some custom ringtones dont work though they will play in WMP.

3.) When I get an incoming call while I am on the phone and I want to hang up with one it will hang up on both or keep the other on hold the entire time.

Hey everybody, down anyone know of any good freeware sources for the 700...Im in need, any suggestions?

I have created my own Mp3 ringtones. They work, but I have recently created two that will play on the phone but will not when the phone rings or gets a message. Is there a size minimum that you must meet in order for the phone to recognize it during usage?

I have been trying to get my T700 to activesync with my bluetooth enabled laptop for a week! No Luck 😡 I finally called VZW tech support and they said I did everything right- should work. They put me in touch with Palm tech support, and guess what?! I was told that the limited blue tooth capabilities of the T700 won't support activesyncing via bluetooth, nor will it support bluetooth printers via PrintBoy.

Anybody know differently, or have a workaround?

I have had the Treo for just ove a week and while I love the phone I am disappointed that the Bluetooth will not allow voice dialing from the headset. From what I learned from Palm and others, it wont either. My question is this, has anybody evaluated the XV6700 and made a good comparison with the Treo 700? Can the 6700 voice dial from the Bluetooth headset? How is the internet features? Have only a few days left to decide on this phone, HELP!

Would like to combine a PDA and a Phone... Bottom Line - How is the voice quaility... And, can you use MIDI and MP3's as ringers???

Is the speakerphone usefull for a business conference call???

My son got a 700w today and I admit it, I was envious at first, but it wore off quickly.

When the unit is checking email, if someone calls you at the same time, the calls go right to voice mail! This is a HUGE turn-off for me.

I have used Blackberry's for years and never saw that happen. For a moment I envisioned dumping my tMobile Blackberry and Verizon Razr and just have one (650) unit, but my calls have to get through.

I am sure that there is a logical explanation for this, but in the end, doesn't matter, calls have to get through.

Does anyone have an idea as to when this phone will be offered through Cingular?

On the 650, when viewing my contacts I can just touch the top of the screen and filter the contact list by group; i.e. Business, Personal, Hangliding Buddie, or whatever. Is there a feature like this on the 700? I would think so, but I didn't see a way to do this on the floor model I was playing with.
Also, the info fields for each contact are quite lengthy. Most of my entries don't have a home fax machine. Is there a way to customize what fields are available in your contact list?

I am looking to buy a Treo. Can anyone tell me whether or not I would notice the difference in the broadband service the 700 uses and whatever EV-DO or similar service that Sprint and Cingular use on their 650's? I can get a 650 with Sprint or Cingular alot cheaper, but don't want to sacrifice speed for a few $$$. And it doesn't make a difference to me whether I buy the palm or windows version. Thanks for anyones advice.
