LG VX-8500 Chocolate

I sure was on the money for this phone. Like I said when this phone first came out...that after a month or so, there would only be about 35 to 40 reviews. Not to rain on anyone's parade but lets face the facts, the phone is overhyped. In fact, the Chocolate thread is just dead!

Approximatly how many songs can the phone hold without a memory card?

This is not the most technical question in the world, but it's driving me nuts and I have to ask in the hopes anyone knows...

The music that's playing in the background of the VZW ads that sport this phone, who does that & what is it called?

Well i got this phone yesterday and its my first phone ever and im wondering if i can upload pictures that i took with my phone to the my computer using the usb that they gave me with the kit if so can some one tell me how to do it?? 😉

Has anyone had any luck getting a case for this phone. I would like to get one that actually fits this phone and does not look like it costs 0.99 cents.

has anyone used the lg bluetooth stereo headset for the chocolate yet, does it work good and is there anywhere else i can buy it other than at the verizon store, i havent heard or seen anything about that headset anywhere else other than the verizon store.

I have uploaded a musical soundtrack to my chocolate and it came through in alphabetical order instead of the order on the cd. I called verizon support and they don't know what to do. Can anybody help?

I just downloaded the vz navigator off of get it now and was just getting familiar with it when I noticed something odd. Now I know the chocolate does not have a speakerphone but when I used vz navigator on the find a destination setting it clearly shouted the directions, I have had a speakerphone handset and I know how one sounds this clearly sounded like a speakerphone on the chocolate???? weird huh???? dont believe me TRY it I think you can download vz navigator for a trial ver right now!!!

how do i make a song on my phone a ringtone the scng i want is on the phone's memory and also on the card

Has anyone tried this yet. It is like five bucks but does not show our carrier? If any has or does let me know.

Bitpim now officially supports the Chocolate if anyone cares.

First, I have to say I have no idea how i got into this setting. All i know is that when i create a new txt msg, it has a small icon in the message already. Each time I have to delete this icon, otherwise if I send a txt message the letters will look like the following "€òv©Ïq". Any ideas? What did I change?

Why hasn't anyone mentioned how neat this app is? Anyway, I was wondering if you pay for the app just once or is it a monthly subscription of 10 dollars ?

Is there a way to turn the ENVDO or how ever you say it off so that its just a standard CDMA phone? I know i could do it with my old one just not sure about his one...

I sent myself a ringtone via www.funformobile.com and was wondering if there is a way to delete a ringtone (or edit the name) once it's already been 'saved to ringtones'?

Well I went to Verizon today and they replaced my VX8500 Chocolate. When I would make a voice recognition call it would make the call (Call anyone at all using the voice call number or name, it doesn't matter) and then when the call was finished the phone would continue to prompt you to call the last voice command you issued. Over and over and over until you hit the END button manually. If you are using BT headset you have to hit the hangup button repeatedly (which didn't work very well).
They said they would report it to LG and hopfully it will get fixed... SURE it will...

I use my phone hands free in the car and this is a major problem!! If there were only a workaround! I just can't "hang up" with the BT headset without turning it ...

Well I love my phone......what I was wondering was how you can pause the music player for extended periods of time. I have a 1 gig card and have over 200 songs...but the shuffle does not continue once you turn off the music...so was wonder if there is a pause. I have done it by accident a few times...Like when I get a call...but unsure how to do it when no call comes in.

I know someone earlier was talking about a great scratch resistant screen protector - but I can't find the info. Has anyone out there used one on this phone or have any info or input about it.
