LG VX-8500 Chocolate

Just wanted to throw this out there for those of you (like me) who dont like actual "cases" on their phones...

Ive used this site to cover my ipod and digital camera, and they're invaluable if you ask me.

I just ordered my shield, once i get it and put it on, i will report back...but frankly i cant imagine not being happy with it.

Sorry for not understanding but can I do the following. I want to buy a micro card and reader. Then drag and drop songs onto the card from my pc then use it on the Chocolate?

I just got this phone yesterday, and

I charged overnight , using it today.

From 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM,

I didn't use it much, I only have 2 bars left

in the battery icon.

I'm afraid if this battery will even last a day.

Is my battery defective?

or is it just like this?

Anybody having same problem?

Mary, seriously, tell us the truth. You dumped the 8500 already? The novelty wears off real quick with this phone. There is just no interest in this type of phone. Let me know what you are using right now.

So apparently the walmart.com site no longer allows you to save ringtones by right click and save target as so that u can email them.. This was the fastest way 4 me to do it and i am wondering if there are any other sites. Any help?

Has anyone tried the stereo bt headset? Just wondering what the sound quality on it is, because the phone sounds awesome thru regular headphones (but the adapter is a pain in the butt!). If anyone has tried, please let me know. 🙂

Ok, I am curious. Verizon has a reputation for disabling features that allow one to move files directly to a phone from a computer, forcing users to use Get It Now or some service to move files to their phone, at an extra cost of course. Can you move music files directly from a computer to the Chocolate or do you have to use one of Verizon's services?

does anyone know if you can put the mp3's in the same music folder as the WMA's or does it have to be a mp3 folder which the chocolate doesnt have that is why im asking, the 8300 has a separate folder for the mp3's and the wma's. thx

okay well I've used Chocolate for about two days..
and so far I like it..
but here's one thing that I found today.

When I was listening to the music through it
and used the touch pads to txt msg my friend,
whenever I was touching the touch pads to control it, there were some little noises that bugged me. (kind of zz sound.. you know the noise. 😁)

I thought it was because of the key sound..
so I turned it off.. and tried turning it off
and turning it on again..
still noises..
Especially when you pause the music and play it again.. when you touch the button, and at that moment, there's a noise like, "zz" kind of noise.

it sometimes happened when I was sliding the phone as well.
but these noise problems are not happening all ...

Can you assign different ringtones to different callers in your caller log? Say ringtone#1 for one person and Ringtone#2 for another person. Thanks

i had my first chocolate and something got screwy with it. So i excahnged it and got my new chocolate. I had the 512 mb microSD card. I had about 19 songs on it, nothing big but regardless, they worked on my first fone and now they wont recognize the songs on my second Chocolate. BUt it does recognize the SD card because wen i take it out, it says sd card was removed. ANy help would be excellent. I appreciate it, thanks!

I started my 15 day trial last monday so I've got some time left, thankfully.

What should I do? Three times so far while playing songs my phone has FROZE--I can't do anything on it, no buttons work, touch pad or key pad and the display stays on so I have to take out the battery and put it at back in.

I don't have a memory card yet, so my phone says I'm using 21,000 of 46,000kb for my phone (rounded off) and 15,000 of 47,000kb for my music. I'll probably take it back tomarrow to see if they have any advice...but why should I keep a phone thats already freezing on me?

could be a glitch in this particular phone.
What are they going to do, anyone know?

I've read this complaint alot from the Bitpim forums but I'll put it on here incase anyone found any solutions.

After adding pictures from my compter to Bitpim and than to the phone--when set to wallpaper, it never fits my phone. There's the big white bars that are on each side of the screen. This doesn't happen in camera pictures. However, when I use programs such as Irfanview that are adaptable to phones to change its resolution size, Bitpim still changes it back. I hate that it looks so small--the quality doesn't bother me much, its that it doesn't fit the whole screen like my camera pictures do.

I've got Chocolate set up so that it will beep when I get a voice mail or text message but how do I go about having it beep, light up or perform any alert for a missed call?

How do you change the effect in the music player? I set it "3D" the first time I saw it but can't find it again. WTF?
