Has anyone out there worked for both Cingular and Sprint?

I am wondering if anyone could give me any insight in the pros and cons of working for Sprint vs Cingular.
Main concerns would be about pay and benefits.

I appreciate the time and help.

Thank you

The Latest Problem With Sprint....

Today has been the most unbelievable day ever! First, I wake up and I get ready to go to work, where I find that my outfit is still in the washing machine because nobody put in the dryer for me. So I'm driving to work and when I stop to get a coffee, I'm 50 cents short and the girl DIDN'T cut me a break and let me have the coffee even though I didn't have the correct amount. To add insult to injury, the girl at the coffee shop made late to work! To top it all off, my service was shut off today because I haven't payed my bill in 3 months! Can you believe it? They shut it off over a measly 250 dollars!! I am so sick of Sprint. They shut off my phone when I don't pay my bill. They charge me for roaming even though I don't have a nation...

SPRINT PCS Tappan Lake coverage

I will be spending a lot of time at Tappan Lake, just west of Steubenville, OH. I currently have AT&T WIRELESS and received absolutely NO signal there. I would guess that ATTWS roam partner is DOBSON.

Anyway....My brother-in-law has VZW and he had very good signal, probably from ALLTEL.

I am seriously considering porting my ATTWS numbers at the end of my contract next June. Thinking about either VZW or SPRINT.

Just wondered if anyone knows if SPRINT has coverage along RT 22 West and Rt 250 near New Philadelphia, OH and Scio, OH ??

Thanks 🙂

shut off again?

👿

I have had sprint for almost 2 years now and never paid a bill late. However, sprint has no problem shutting your phone off for any reason. One time they credited my account temp. so that the phone would get shut off by a computer error that they were having, but it was only a 10 day credit and after 10 days... you guessed it, they shut it off. But by far my favorite is when you call their customer service. "No I don't know what's going on, I don't see anything, there's nothing I can do for you. Ummm (long pause) you could pay $75 and get it turned back on" never mind that 3 days prior I had payed my bill for the month and had not gone over my min....
I see it everyday too. I work for a retailer that offers Sprint and everyday p...

My General Feeling Towards All The Complainers

Everytime I come back to the Sprint forum, there is somebody complaining about how "Sprint hasn't kept up" or how "Customer Service is terrible". Well please allow me to adress these complaints.

First of all, if anything, Sprint has been the innovator over the past year. I can't recall Cingular, T-Mobile, Verizon, Nextel or any other service provider saving you from outrageous overages month to month. I'm amazed at how many customers of the competition abandon ship and sign up with Sprint because they were getting raped on their bill.

Number two, Sprint has some of the best handsets on the market. While they are limited on Bluetooth (and I sincerely doubt that lack of Bluetooth makes a company inadequate) they sport Sanyo brand pho...

Text Message to Landline?

On Sprints home page it says you can text message to Landline phones and the text message will somehow turn into a voice and play to the person you sent it to. I tried it and it didnt work. Has anyone tried it yet? Heres the link:

Cool factor

Great site by the way! What gives with the GSM carriers getting all the sharp phones? T-Mobile just got an updated RAZR from Motorola. Moto just today announced the replacement for the V3, the V3x. When is Sprint going to realize that stylish, high-tech (with lots of features) handsets sell? I have a Sanyo 5300 and its basically the same as most of the Sprint line up. Does Sprint have anything waiting in the bullpen that can counter the Cingular, T-Mobile, line up? Choppy video clips are not my idea of a great feature for my cell phone. How about a model that is attractive, (cool factor) has an internal antenna, (uncrippled) Bluetooth, a camera and/or a built-in MP3 player that is priced at about $250? I realize Sprint doesnt make the hands...

am i crazy...

or is call tones one of the best services sprint has ever offerred?

i just sold my old 660 to a sprint store for $50 yesterday, so i took a fresh look at the content catalog this morning, dnloaded and assigned a few call tones, told a few friends to call me, and when i called them back they were laughing so hard they were on the floor, crying!

few questions, though...
-does any1 know if it is possible to assign a call tone for people whom i dont know their number? as i was buying the call tones, the website asked me to assign one or more phone numbers for every call tone i dnloaded, is it possible that i could set it up so that future *potential* friends can hear a customized call tone, the first time they call me, *before* i can get ...
