This is pretty much the worst phone upgrade deal ever.

Am I reading Sprint's upgrade policy right? Every 18 months one gets to take $150 off full retail in the form of a mail in rebate, but ONLY if they've had no late payments during the last 18 months? That really, REALLY sucks.

Anyone know if the SGH-i300 will be released in the US?

I can't seem to find any information regarding US release of ghis phone. If it does appear to be available soon, then I will hold off buying a phone for now.

If not, I will go ahead and purchase a Sanyo MM5600.

I have the original i300 that is on it's last legs and like the fact that I can use AvantGo, but of course I can't listen to music with it.

Any info would be appreciated.

Sprint's Evdo outline plans... see below

first the service will be out in july.

some things...

"By early 2006, the company plans to roll the service out in 60 major markets encompassing 150 million people, Sprint said. Prices will start at $40 a month, not including wireless PC cards. The service will enable users to download files and emails at average speeds of 400 to 700 kilobits per second, with peak rates of up to 2 megabits, Sprint said. Customers would be able to access the Internet at high speeds via computers or with special wireless phones that Sprint plans to introduce in the fourth quarter."

"that are available through business sales and retail channels. For business customers, pricing starts at $40 per month for 40MB with a price cap at $90 for those months w...

Sprint EV-DO Service?

Does anyone know when we can expect some movement on Sprint's 3G solution, EV-DO?

There might be a delay in a lot of the innovative services that Sprint is so well known for due to the pending merger with Nextel.

Any news on Sprint 3G, please post, thanks!

Any class 2 Sprint Techs?

How do I find out what all the programming codes are on my phone. I want to know what all the options are and how they work when you enter the ##3282 code for Sanyo's. I have all the MSL for my phone but not the data lock code. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. 🙂

An amusing Sprint story

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this:

I was returning from traveling overseas last week and was on a flight back to the US from Frankfurt, Germany, and the plane was full of NFL players returning from NFL Europe. As the plane landed and pulled up to the gate in the US and everyone started turning on their mobile phones, I had the interesting experience of listening to multiple NFL players calling in to CC because their accounts had been hotlined.

Some of the great comments I heard --

"Do you know who I am? Do you know how much money I make? Why'd you cut me off then?!?"

"I've been in Europe why would I have remembered to pay my bill"

"Yo can you cut me back on, I need my phone so I can call people" (there's a go...

Look out verizon, here comes sprint!!!

I got this info from a sprint site.
all credit goes to xenophonite from sprintusers.com

According to this, Sprint had 20,000 cell sites in 2004, adding 2000 more.
http://www.whitepaperwireless.com/o...lina/sprint.htm »

According to this, Verizon currently has over 21,000 cell sites.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...lessNetwork.jsp »

According to this, Nextel has 28,000 cell sites and Sprint plans to convert half to CDMA in about two years. Nextel has more on East Coast, Sprint's weak spot.
http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/news/print.php/3448181 »

Sprint could exceed Verizon significantly in a couple years as it could be more difficult for Verizon to obtain more newly developed cell sites, having to go through community approval...

Sprint or Verizon

I just switch from Cingular to Sprint about two days ago ,and I was wondering if Sprint or Verizon was better as far as coverage and customer service. I live in Tennessee and signal strentgh and customer service were the main problems that I had with Cingular ,so I want to make sure that I did't have those problems again.

Leave Cingular and go to Sprint?

OK so i have a question and I would appreciate an honest response. I have Cingular right now and the coverage at my house is less than desireable. Ive never gone over my 450 minutes and i have a ton of rollover. However, my brother has offered to add me onto his sprint plan for 25.00 a month and we would share the minutes, etc. Is that a good idea? Does anyone have any complaints about Sprint? What about there phones? Id like a smaller phone with a camera. Any suggestions or comments to help me? Thanks!

Sanyo 8200 volume???

Hello!

Can anyone tell me if all Sanyo 8200 phones have awful earpiece volume or is it just mine?

If I turn phone on past level 1 the earpiece sounds awful...Would much appreciate feedback so I'll know if it's just Sanyo's 8200 series phones or if I have a piece of s*#t! 🙂

Thanks & Have A Great Day...
