Apple iPhone

[Just so you know I proudly own the SE w810i (unlocked) and I have service with AT&T.]

All I hear about on here is complaints that the iPhone only has EDGE. Well, I think many of you are forgetting that it also has WIFI (which is better anyway). I don't even think the new Palm 750 has WIFI. Anyway, for myself (and I'm sure many other people), I would much rather have WIFI than a 3G network capability. Not to mention, what happens to all these complaints in 6-12 months when the 2nd gen iPhone has 3G and most likely increased storage and other features? Also, to who ever said you would have to take your iPhone in for updates clearly doesn't have an iPod, since all updates will be done through iTunes on your own computer.

the iphone was released today and i was in line for three hours with my buddy and i kinda want one now but i was wondering if going on teh internet with edge ? does it use up your minutes?

Does anyone know if I active my iphone on itunes does that make the iphone tied to that certain itunes or will I be able to sync it with a different computer without any problems?

if not Can it be unlocked???
and all the features including internet will work with T-mobile network?

Has anyone seen the crazy amounts of money people are paying for this thing on Ebay? It's insane...

Fact of the matter is that just in the Carolinas you can't get one in any at&t stores! They where sold out in minuets how can you explain that, good advertising, good product, good network. There is a lot of jealous little $h!ts in this forum, and I for one don't care about the iphone. I love reading all you sad son of a b!t(hes posts, go out, get laid have a life don't obsess about stupid things like this. Good or bad it's business and business is good. I made about 500.00 in comm. just last night. I am sick of anything iphone and It's just begun, but I love how all the sheep just run to the slaughter when anything new comes out. I thought the Alltel adds made us cell phone sales people look like complete dorks...but reading this cr...

I am curious about the calculator, namely does it offer high level finance, statistics and other functions as on the mac and Palm OS.

Was wondering how hard it is to dial the phone with one hand as if you were in your car driving?
Even in your favorites, how many steps do you go through to call someone,and is it hard with only using one hand?

From what I can gather, AT&T stores rec'd very few in stock. I highly doubt ANY on the East coast have any left by now, and those on the West coast will probably sell out soon if they haven't already.

Apple stores are a totally different story. All received hundreds, the lines moved quickly, and many should still have some, even on the East coast.

I tried an AT&T store, waited in line for a while, then they sold out before I got one. So I drove to an Apple store... no line, in and out in two minutes, and they had hundreds left in stock (there was a huge stack). Eric Zeman had pretty much the same experience (worse at the AT&T store, actually, but that's another story.)

I can't get this phone unless I take my line off our business accounta and make it a personal account! This really sucks!

Anyone know if this is going to be a temporary thing, or if they will be creating an update where businesses can use the iphone?

I can send pop/smtp email fine while connected to wi-fi but can't when connected to EDGE...anyone else have an issue with this? Email is through Comcast.

If it doesn't sync with outlook, is there a way to copy contacs from your previous phone?

Today I went to the AT&T store to play around with the iPhone. Me, being a total phone junkie, observed closely the aspects of the iPhone. So here's my review:

First of all, I'm gonna say that it's not a PDA at all. It feels more like a regular phone that happens to have a touch screen.

The QWERTY keyboard was not as bad as I had imagined, but still pretty bad. I made many mistakes (repeatedly as well) and it took a long time just to write something quick. The layout was good however, and if they had made the same design into a hard keyboard, it would have been stellar.

The web browser was fine, but far from perfect. For one, I couldn't log into Phone Scoop. It froze. But the rendering was good, and pages loaded fairly fast consider...

OMG-This is the best phone EVER. It is what I've
been searching for for years. It's so simple, to set up, sync contacts, and the best thing-video and internet are way enjoyable-to the point that I'll use both much more than I ever have. It auto connects to wifi's while I was dining out last night and it was a blast. And I've played with it for 4 hrs out of the box and still have half battery left. This is my first Apple product, and I have to say, they did this phone up right.

I was trying to activate my iPhone and i got a message saying that. Why is that? And when will my iphone be activated??

since i know u have the 4gb here are some questions

1. how much of the 4gb does the consumer get to use after formating and all else?
2. besides memory any differences between 4 and 8gb?
3. do u recomend it?
4. does the safari browser deliver?
5. and when do u think we will c an unlocked version? 🤤

I was walking around the mall and i forgot all about the release of the iPhone until i walked by the apple store and there was around 100 people in it! i got up to the counter and they had 6 iPhones out so i got to play with one. Its not that user friendly to me. But it is nice! I wouldnt buy one for $500 though.

I could just barely hear the 3 test calls I made to 611. I then called my wife and had to end the call, I could barely hear her. I tried another iPhone in the store and it was the same.
Really the only fault I saw with the phone.
