hey guys, I was playing around with the camera on my XV6700, and I noticed that the camera is REALLY bad. I don't know if it's just my phone or what, but it seems like the lens has absolutely no aperture control. if there is any kind light, the pictures comes out all white... is this normal? anyone else experiencing the same problem? is there some setting that I'm missing out here? because with the way things are, the camera use is pretty much unaccetable, it plain doesn't work except in very very specific conditions...

any ideas?

I'm enjoying my xv6700 ever so much but a few irritating issues:

1. I'm using the Resco Radio to which I downloaded to my device instead of my storage card, but when I'm streaming it's eating up my phones memory excessively!! What to do? Can I find another radio that won't eat a lot of memory? If I transfer the program to my storage card will it still continue to eat storage space?

2. Also I have the PocketDVD on my PC but I can't seem to record a full length DVD to transfer to my phone! I was able to record an hr worth out of an hr and 33 mins on my first try then last night I was only able to record only 26 mins on another DVD! It stops and an error msg comes up that it can no longer run so I end up closing the whole thi...

Before I loaded the upgrade for the 6700 my blue tooth worked as a hands free and head set device no it only works as a hands free. Can someone please help me with this problem. Also my blue tooth does support hands free and head set. thanks in advance

Audio jack - is this phone capable of delivery stereo thru the audio jack? If so, has anyone found a audio adapter (2.5mm to 3.5mm) so I can use a 'standard' audio mini stereo headphone?

By default, the navigation button (the joystick) found on almost all PDAs is bi-directional. You can only go up or down. There is a registry setting that can change that to a 4-way navigation which comes in handy when you access sites not optimized for mobile access. Here's the trick:

Change the value for this key:

Okay. So my employer uses Good technology on the Corporate side. So, I'm stuck with using something that Good supports if I want that instantaneous access to email. I can't find this phone on the Good website. I found the 6600 (audiovox...is that the precursor to this one???) But I guess since this is MS 5.0, it's not supported by Good. Does anyone know if this is true or false?

Also, if I do not use a phone that uses Good technology, I have a stupid question: how do I get my email from our MS Exchange Corporate account?

I sincerely appreciate any advice. I HATE MY TREO 600 and soooo want a new phone. Soon!!!

Can anyone give me a link to a download of Acrobat Reader for Windows Mobile 5? I could only find acrobat for Pocket PC 2002

when i try to view any pictures through "FILE EXPLORER", i get an error message. it is "THE ADDRESS IS NOT VAILD. CHECK THE ADDRESS AND TRY AGAIN." and for some reason, the picture is tring to be opened in internet explorer.
-does anyone have a remedy out there for me and know where i can find the answer.

I JUST SAW THE VZW 2ND QUARTER UPGRADE FOR THE 6700 AND IT WILL INCLUDE VOICE DIAL, KEY LOCK, AND SPEEDS UP THE RESPONSE TIME,SO THAT THE EDIT IS NOT NECESSARY. THEY MAY BE OTHER IMPROVEMENTS THESE ARE JUST THE ONES, I ASKED ABOUT.

I have the 6700 with verizon service. Every time I try and send a pic message it gives the message of failed delivery. Also if I dock the phone and take the pictures off manually it works fine and I can view them and even e-mail them to friends through g-mail, but the part I dont understand is that if I try and upload that same pic to photobucket it says "invalid format", my friend tried to upload the pic I e-mailed him to his myspace account(blah myspace sucks blah) and it gave him the same error about invalid format. So I was wondering if this is somehow connected to me not being able to send pic messages...oh yea when I can't receive them either. I can see the pic message but not the picture attached. The extension on the pictures are...

Does anyone know where I can purchase an LCD screen for my 6700? Or one with problems other than the screen for parts?

I've been able to store my contacts on my card with my 6600! can I do the same with the 6700? and if so how do you do it? thanks in advance!

So i want to download Phone Alarm from pocketmax, but i have a mac. Can i download it sraight from my 6700 so it will be on there. Or do i have to sync it with a computer first.

Anyone that reads this...Anyone use the TREO 650? and when you used the TREO remember when you used to go back and forth on TXT messages that the phone or more the software would take that conversation and then make a chat thread out of it? Are there any edits that can be made to the phone so that the same threads happen in the inbox of the 6700. I'm just liking to see if i can clean up my txt messages inbox due to the amount of TXT'in I do. If someone know if you can or cant please post a comment!

Is there a way to synchronize your files such that they will always sync to the storage card and not the device?

Whenever I launch Windows Media Player, the library defaults to the handheld (My Device). How can I make it ALWAYS look for My Library on the storage card?

I just purchased this phone and I thought I read somewhere that there was some software that you can use to convert dvds and then put them on your SD card and watch them....

Can someone please let me know what all of my video options are with this phone. besides VCast.

I have tried and tried again to install this reg. editor intomy 6700 and i get it set up correctly on the computer(desktop) but when i drag it into my 6700's file explorer it registers on there, but when i go to select it i get " There is no application associated with " phmregedit". Run the applicationfirst, then open this file from within the application" I have ran it on my desktop a few times now and it uploads succesfully but it does not work on my 6700. Can someone please help me to install this program on my phone
